Dexter woke up in a beautiful looking meadow. Flowers had budded up all around him and the bees pollinating told him that it was either spring or early summer. In the serenity of the meadow Dexter almost forgot why he was there in the first place.
'Thats right I have to go find Duchess' he told himself. He had only gone over the story of Swan Lake a few times before actually starting his story but he supposed this was the point of the book where the prince first met Odette. No, where he meets Duchess. He didn't walk far over a small hill until he found a beautiful white horse tied to a tree and, after finding a royal symbol on the reins, came to the conclusion that this was his horse. Dexter starting feeling a little queasy. He did know how to ride a horse but it had been a while and he was never very good at it. Memories of hours of hopeless riding flashed through his mind as he struggled to get into the saddle. He took a deep breath before taking the reins and trying to start with a slow canter but found that in his haste he forgot to untie the horse. Dexter rolled his eyes and sighed before getting off the horse to untie it. This heroic prince business was much harder than he thought it would be.

Raven added the finishing touches to her ball gown. It really wasn't her style, to red and frilly, but this is what Snow White was meant to wear so she just had to grin and bare it. Some official Dutch and Duchess were coming to the kingdom and the king was holding a banquet in their honour and of course she was meant to be there. They had been in this Fairytale kingdom for about a week now and Raven was getting used to the princess life. She had also discovered that all the maids and servants had been put under a memory wipe spell so that they wouldn't interfere. Raven quickly made her way down three flights of stairs to the Great Hall where the banquet. The guests of honour had already arrived and the banquet had already begun. Quietly she slipped into her seat at the high table, hoping that no one had noticed her late arrival. Unfortunately Apple had noticed. She sent a death glare at Raven and mouthed the words "you're late". Raven had been getting a lot of this lately and it didn't seem as if Apple was just acting for the story. The banquet was long and drawn out. Raven tried to make little conversation between her and some lady-in-waiting that sat to her next but other than that Raven stayed silent. It wasn't till the end of the banquet that anything happened. There was a toast to ensure the safety and health for the Dutch and Duchess. The King had just taken a drink from his goblet when he stepped back and collapsed onto the floor.

Dexter had been riding for roughly two hours down a narrow, winding path. He was about to give up when he noticed a sparkling blue river at the bottom of the hill.
'Well, they say all rivers lead to lakes. Or something like that.' Dexter thought hopefully. It turns out he was right. After following the river it ended in a beautiful crystal-clear lake. There were black and white swans dotted her and their but most of them were gathered at the other side. He knew instantly that this was Swan Lake. Dexter trotted over to the other side where he found Duchess dancing away, seemingly not noticing Dexter. He dismounted his horse and cautiously approached her. She stopped dancing immediately and wordlessly curtsied. Dexter bowed back politely and they came together to dance. He was surprised at the little mistakes he made, dancing was not his forte. The story would be ruined if he couldn't dance is what he settled with when he failed to come up with any other explanation. He took notice of the way Duchess effortless glided along the ground. After a while the music came to a stop and so did their dance.
"Duchess, I'm having a party at the palace tonight. I want to know if you'll come." Dexter asked, remembering the story.
"Oh, I don't know?" Duchess replied.
"You have to come. I won't leave until you do." Dexter protested. Duchess still looked unsure.
"Okay. Save me a dance?" she finally gave up.
"I'll only dance with you. Until tonight." And with that Dexter mounted his horse awkwardly rode away. From this whole experience he had seen a different side to Duchess. He didn't know how he was going to just let her die but fate was fate he supposed.

Authors Note: Sorry that there's no picture but Wattpad has been playing up a bit. Tell me in the comments who you want to see in their stories as I'm not really sure who to do. I have to say I won't do Cerise Hood though as she is a little more complicated.
