[Louis' P.O.V]

I was awakened by the sound of my mobile vibrating on the nightstand, and I blindly fumbled for it so it wouldn't wake up the sleeping boy curled against my side. Hitting the answer button, I pressed it to my ear, "Hello?"

"Hey Lou," Zayn said sleepily. "Bad news."

"Oh dear," I sighed. "I'm needed at the clinic, aren't I?"

"Yes, but even more bad news," he continued. "There's several dogs coming in for their shots today. The types of dogs that bark at everyone anyway because they're so nervous. So um... bringing Harry would probably be a bad idea."

I frowned, "Then I don't know if I can make it in today..."

"Aw, come on Lou!" Zayn whined. "He'll be fine at Liam and Niall's! You need to get him a phone and teach him how to text or something so that you two can get over your separation anxiety."

"I just might when he's fully learned to read and write. He's already learned so much though, my smart Kitten," I turned my head to study the beautiful boy's sleeping face.

"You're a sap," Zayn laughed. "The amount of love in your voice right then was nearly suffocating."

"Yeah, yeah," I snapped. "If you want me to leave my Kitten today and come help you then you better be nice. I seriously don't want to leave him, Zayn. It's going to be hard for the both of us."

"He'll be fine, Louis," Zayn sighed. "Just take Harry's medicine with you and give it to Liam since he's got Harry for the day."

"It's still scary," I pouted.

"Louis," Zayn huffed. "I don't think he's going to purposely be eating shrimp, and I highly doubt Niall and Liam are going to give him any,"

At that moment, Lucy jumped onto Harry's side of the bed and climbed onto the younger boy. I attempted to pull her off, but she panicked and latched her claws onto the blanket covering the naked boy, "Lucy, c'mere!"

"L-Lucy?" Harry mumbled sleepily, feeling his chest for her and then cuddling her close as she purred loudly.

"Naughty little cat," I sighed, and Zayn chuckled.

"What'd she do?" the boy on the phone asked.

"Jumped on Harry while he was sleeping," I told him as I stroked the curls from Harry's forehead.

The younger boy opened his eyes and grinned at me, "Good morning..."

"Morning, baby," I told the younger lad, leaning in to kiss his lips. "Alright Zayn, I'll talk to you soon, yeah? Bye."

"Bye, Tomlinson," Zayn chuckled and I ended the call.

Harry wiggled closer, stretching out and resting his head on my chest as he tucked Lucy between us. The fluffy black Kitten rubbed her head against me, and Harry giggled, "Lucy is silly... what did Zayn say to Louis?"

"Um," I snuggled Harry closer. "I've got to go into work today..."

"Harry will just go with you," Harry replied happily.

"But that's just it baby... you'll have to stay with Liam," I told him, causing him to whimper. "But just for today, I promise! You can come with me all other times after today!"
