When we asked our Wattpad_Romance Twitter followers what they most want to see from us on Twitter, the most common response we got was Writing Prompts. Whether you're looking for an idea to write something new, or you want inspiration to help you overcome writer's block, a great writing prompt can help you get started.
Challenge:
For this challenge, we want to hear your best romance writing prompts! Tell us what you think will inspire you and your fellow romance writers to write a great scene or story.
Your prompt can be as simple as something like:
Write a romance scene/story inspired by Ed Sheeran's song Thinking Out Loud.
Or something more specific like:
He lies about himself in order to impress an attractive woman, pretending to have a prestigious job and glamorous life. What happens next?
Be creative and have fun with it! :)
Deadline:
Writing prompts must be submitted by 11:59 PM EST, Thursday July 9th, 2015.
Submissions:
To enter this challenge, leave one comment below (on this contest chapter) with no more than three of your top writing prompt ideas.
Prizes:
-Our judges will choose one top prompt to use as a future writing challenge on the Romance profile!
-We will feature the top 10 writing prompts on Twitter in the coming weeks. (Keep an eye out for those once the contest has ended and winners have been announced.)
Rules:
-English language only
-1-3 writing prompts per person. No more than three writing prompts per person please, but you're completely welcome to enter less than three.
-Each writing prompt must be no more than 25 words. (If your writing prompt is one of the winners, we want to be able to fit it on Twitter!)
