Bob Marley once said "the truth is, everyone's going to hurt you. You just need to find the one that's worth suffering for."
I never understood that quote, until I found someone worth the suffering.
One thing I was always told was that there are two people you'll meet in your life; one will run a finger down the index of who you are and jump straight to the parts that peak their interests. The other will take his or her time reading through every single chapter and maybe fold the corners of you that inspired them most. You will meet these people; it's a given. It is the third that you'll never see coming. That one person who not only finishes your sentences, but keeps the book.
Life's a lot like a book, you never know what's going to happen until you return the page.
So that's what I did. I turned the page, and met someone great. I never understood why he came into my life, but I'm thankful he did.
"You're like this perfect and amazing person and I'm just this freak with a million problems and I don't know why you picked me but please don't let me go.
Please don't tell me I'm beautiful right now because I cannot help myself-
I will inhale your words and swallow than and absorb them into my veins and arteries and they will stick like honey and burn like arsenic because they are such
Her eyes glanced upwards towards him, his mouth hung open in shock for the words that just escaped her. How could think of herself that way? Taking a step towards her, never breaking eye contact, he inhaled deeply and spilled his heart out to her.
"You need me to inspire you and remind you how wonderful you are. You need me to kiss you."
He lowered his head to her forehead - she was at least a head smaller than him and he found it adorable the way she fit perfectly into his arms - where she belonged.
"You need me to love you."
"But more than that" he continued,
"I need you. I need you to come home to. I need you to talk to and laugh with.
I need you to love me back."
With that, he kissed her so passionately, trying to prove to her that she was all he ever needed.
Smiling, she realised, she finally found someone worth the suffering.
