~*~*~*~Kayos~*~*~*~

Kayos was stumbling out into the street using Rize as a support just to keep himself from falling to the ground. He had used a lot of his power in that last attack on Kane and it'd left him virtually drained. But he'd seen and heard the lightning strikes coming from where the amusement park known as Party Town. Despite being completely drained Kayos had to get back there because he knew that two of the three people he cared about were in that direction. Natalia and his son Royce, both of them were near Skorge and if the leader of this group was really fighting now than he had to get there right away. He didn't know what it is that he could manage to do in his condition but he had to try, he couldn't let Skorge hurt either one of them.

But that was such a long distance to walk. Kayos lost his footing on one step and fell hitting the hard cement with his head bouncing off of the sidewalk now covered in glass after his battle with Kane. The two of them had run at least three miles from Party Town, not much a distance at all but after that battle it might as well had been 3,000 miles. His legs were too wobbly to carry him any further so Kayos did the only thing that he could and began to drag himself across the ground. After he'd finished Kane he still felt as though he were strong enough to be of some use but he didn't feel just how badly he was affected by it until he climbed down from the building he'd been on.

This entire area seemed deserted, or at least Kayos hopes that it was. The last thing the Chain needed was for more collateral damage because of Skorge's rebellion. He'd managed to save a few humans after Kane had destroyed one of the buildings around them but a larger number was probably lost when Kane interfered. And now that the battle was done the scars of the city were apparent, a whole block of buildings had either been leveled or damaged so badly that Kayos would be surprised if they were salvageable after all this was done. And then there were the buildings that'd been damaged when the blasts of Kane and Rize collided. They were easy enough to identify because they had entire corners cut to a perfect curve as if they were meant to hold a giant orb of some kind.

Again a loud scream sounded making Kayos' head snap up as the Natalia's scream echoed off of the seemingly empty city. "No-" He said pushing his upper body off of the ground but finding it impossible to get his legs to listen to him. "I- can't let her- die!"

Kayos was pushing his body so hard now that his veins would've been popping out had he not been in his demon form. His jaw was clenched so hard that he could feel his teeth beginning to crack as he snarled and groaned trying to pick himself back up. He saw a faint red flash as a flickering light began to appear show from his eyes. But it wasn't enough as he let out aloud groaning sigh before falling forward just as a lightning bolt flashed across the ever darkening sky. But what caught Kayos' attention was the fact that when the lightning flashed he saw dozens upon dozens of faces looking at him from the building to his left.

Humans, they hadn't been killed during his fight with Kane and Kayos couldn't help but smile at least a little bit knowing that at least he'd been able to do that. But what made his smile vanish from his face was when they began to spill back out into the streets and he saw that the all had pipes, rocks, shards of glass, any kind of weapon that they could get their hands on. Like a rising tide the humans slowly crept towards him and Kayos actually felt worried. Fresh he wouldn't have a thing to worry about even with all the weapons these humans had. But now he was vulnerable and weak with no way of defending himself, if these humans wanted to kill him there wasn't really anything that he could do to stop them from doing so.

"Wait-" He said in a voice so hoarse that it came out as barely more than a whisper. Again he tried picking himself up but found it even harder than the first time he'd tried and still they were coming closer to him with that dark murderous look about their faces. "Don't- stop..."
