Chapter 4: Beauty Behind the Dress

Quietly as possible Kale got out of bed and slipped on his boxers and jeans. He heard a moan from behind him; glancing over his shoulder and saw the double D, ebony haired girl drift back into sleep. She had been lots of fun last night, he grinned running a hand through his hair, though she was very clingy in bed.

'Now what was her name again?' he wondered putting on his shirt and walked out of her apartment, with no intention of ever coming back. That's how Kale rolled, hump 'em and dump 'em, but really those women knew what they were getting into. Running a hand through his hair he yawned and stretched, as he took his cell out of his pocket.

6:15 AM it said.

“Damn that's the latest I've left at any girls’ house” he mumbled walking up to his car. It was a quiet drive to his flat, all one he was enjoying until his phone vibrated loudly signalling that he had received a text message. Grabbing his phone he saw that it was from Tessa, if karma favoured him then it would be good news. He read the message and cursed.

“Aw man”

If only karma ever liked him.

“Okay, okay. I'm alright, I'm okay” Kodak said to herself taking in deep breaths as she ran into her office. Quick as a cheetah, she dashed to her desk collecting her papers and ran to the meeting room. Some dumbass decided that it would be fun to call an emergency meeting at seven in the morning.

On a Saturday.

And anyone knowing her knew that she was not a morning person, and it was safe to say that there will be hell to pay.

“Alright people, what's the prob here?” she asked entering the meeting room panting. Tristan and Justin flinched at the loud sound of her voice. Kodak noticed that they...well to put nicely looked like shit. 'Probably have a hangover' she thought taking a seat, rummaging through her purse she found a bottle of Tylenol and threw it at the boys.

“Catch! I think you'll be needing a couple of these” she said, to the half dead boys who nodded, popping some pills.

Kodak turned her attention to Erin and Arron who had called this meeting “Alright” she said frostily folding her hands “Speak”

Usually Kodak wasn't the type of person to act all cold, however in her books this was kind of unreasonable, the rest of the team had the same train of thought as her; they all wanted to know what the problem was and get out fast.

Erin nodded nervously, but it was Arron who spoke unfazed by Kodak’s cold aura “Seating arrangements” he said simply.

Justin jumped up slamming his hands on the table “What the fuck!” he swore “That's your emergency? That's why you had to call ALL of us here?” he growled, his glare strengthening tenfold.

Arron scowled back, “Yes dumbass, because the people who are complaining are the big guys. Apparently they had specific requests for whom they would like to sit with, and we didn't get this list till this morning!”

Kodak paled “Damn” she muttered placing a hand on her head, she could just feel a headache coming. It had taken them at least a week to place everyone, and now...

She felt something hit her hand, “Huh?” she looked up and saw the bottle of Tylenol.

“I think you'll need one of these” Justin said sliding a cup of water over to her and taking a seat “It's gonna be one long morning”
