Rob calls his mother Patty on the phone while sitting in his office that very next day.
"Hello" Patty's voice came over the phone
"Mom. It's Rob." Rob said
"I know." said Patty
"Listen um, I'm coming to Kettering to come see you. I have a lot to tell you." said Rob
"What is it?" asked Patty
"I'll tell you when I get there okay? love you mom. bye." said Rob
"Love you too Rob. Bye" said Patty hanging up.
Rob calls Chanel over the office phone.
"Chanel grab your things, we are probably going to stay with my mom at my home town for a day or so. I've got to talk to her about the engagement and everything else." said Rob
"Okay. I'll be ready here in a little bit." said Chanel
"Okay. Love you Chanel. Bye" said Rob
"Bye." said Chanel hanging up and going to find some things to take.
So they head out to Kettering, OH, Rob's hometown.
They make it to Patty and Gene's house and come in.
"Chanel it's good to see you. How've you been?" asked Patty as soon as Chanel and Rob walked in.
"I've been doing alright." said Chanel.
"Good." said Patty
Gene hugs Rob
"Good to see you son." said Gene
"You too." said Rob
Rob hugs Patty and tells her that he's glad to see her.
As soon as everyone sits down, Rob starts to explain things to Patty and Gene.
"Okay so I've got a lot to tell you guys." said Rob
"Okay? Go ahead and tell us." said Patty
"Okay well I brought Chanel here with me because we want to tell you both that we just got engaged and that we're expecting." said Rob
"What? Rob you're talking too fast. Say that again." said Patty
"Okay. Me and Chanel are officially engaged." said Rob
"Oh that's nice." said Patty smiling
"So you've finally found the one huh son?" asked Gene
"Yeah. I did (Rob said smiling at Chanel and Chanel smiles back) Oh and I meant to say that Chanel is pregnant and the baby is mine. We are getting ready to have a baby in like 3 months." said Rob
"Oh wow. That's interesting." said Patty
"Yeah. Hey Chanel stand up and show them." said Rob
"Alright." said Chanel standing up and lifting up part of her shirt to show her bulging belly.
"Oh yeah. I can see it now." said Patty
"You can feel it if you want." said Chanel
"Okay." said Patty rubbing her hand over Chanel''s baby belly.
"Ooh. Good grief I felt a little foot touch my hand." said Patty sitting back down on the couch.
"Yeah. That always happens." said Chanel smiling
Rob gets up to feel her belly.
He starts to listening to her belly and talking to the baby.
"Hi baby. How's it goin in there?" said Rob
Chanel smiles and hugs Rob.
"I love you." said Rob kissing her
"I love you too." said Chanel
They sit down back on the couch.
"So mom, is it alright if we stay here for a couple of days?" asked Rob
"I guess so Rob. You guys have your stuff with you?" Patty asked
"Yeah I put our bags in the guest room." said Rob
"Alright. You can stay here as long as you need to." said Patty
"Thanks mom. We appreciate it." said Rob
"You're welcome." said Patty.
Everyone ate and went on to bed.
Chanel slept in the guest room, and Rob slept in his old bedroom that used to be his.
