-Sweet Disposition-
What’s worse than waking up in a strange room, whilst lying in a bed? Absolutely nothing.
I opened my eyes slowly. I frowned and squinted in the light, whilst trying to get used to the bright light that was in my face. I yawned and sat up, while taking in the atmosphere and place.
The room was a rich creamy colour, decorated plainly. It had a bookcase on the right hand side of me and a door. The big poster bed that I so happened to be lying on was wooden with silk red covers. It was really comfy and felt like I was on cloud nine.
I looked around again, and frowned. My eyes widened as the last night event’s come flooding back and I gasped.
I threw the covers off of me and looked down to see that I was still wearing my dress. I sighed, thankful that the stranger had at least left my clothes on. But what if they did something while I was asleep. It was then when I started to panic.
I twizzled around and setted my feet on to the brown furry carpet. My bare feet sunk in to the carpet as I stood up. I balanced myself, and stiffly let out a single yawn.
My eyes darted towards every corner, and I crept towards the door. My hands landed on the door knob and I twisted it around and yanked it open.
The fresh air hit me, but then other sorts of perfumes and spray were carried through the atmosphere. I frowned and stepped out one foot at a time, while closing my eyes. That was until something landed on my foot and I yelped. I opened my eyes, to find myself getting pulled in to a crowd of people. I suddenly screamed and everyone stopped what they were doing. They all turned to face me with unreadable expressions on their faces. Panting, I backed away from the people and leant against a wall. The people still stared at me and I started to get annoyed.
“What?” I asked, touching my face. “I-Is there something wrong with my face?” I asked confused. The people looked at me strangely and some even laughed. I frowned. “What?” I asked once more starting to get paranoid.
“I think you came to the wrong place” Someone shouted. I furrowed my eyebrows.
“I don’t understand” I answered. Most people laughed, but I ignored them. Most people were muttering about me and saying incoherent things. I gulped, and put a hand to my chest. I then frowned even more and looked down at my bare neck. I gasped. “No” I whispered. Someone cleared their throat, and I looked up tears welling in my eyes.
A boy stood awkwardly rocking back and forth. He had short black hair, blue eyes and he looked all together handsome. He kind of reminded me of Gus, but with black hair. My eyes widened again. Crap, Gus!
“Are you alright?” He asked his low voice surprised me. I shook my head.
“N-No” I whimpered. He frowned and looked at me with concern.
“Do you want to tell me what the matter is?” He asked, stepping closer to me. I pursed my lips, and looked at him. Well he reminded me of Gus, so I guess that’s got to count for something right?
“O-Okay then” I sighed, and wiped a stray tear out of the way. I pushed my brown behind my ears, and let the boy drag me through the crowd.
He finally led me to a quiet place, which was the stairs. He sat down on one of them and patted a space next to him. I hesitated, and then shook my head. He frowned.
“Why not? I’m not going to hurt you” He chuckled, and then stopped. “Or am I” He smirked. My eyes widened, and I stared at the boy speechless. He laughed, and smacked his knee. “You’re funny. Anyway no I am not going to hurt you” He grinned. He patted the space again and I shook my head. “Why?” He asked his expression softening.
“Because it’s not lady-like” I quietly answered. I looked down at the floor and rubbed the back of my hand.
“Uh…” He paused and cleared his throat again. “Well, then how do you sit?” He asked. I looked up and smiled shyly.
“On a chair…” I sighed. “Actually it doesn’t matter. I’ll sit with you” I smiled. He grinned.
“Um, great!” He shuffled over and I sat down next to him silently. “So, are you going to tell me what’s wrong?” He tilted his head to the side and stared at me from the point of view.
“Well… uh here it goes I guess” I spoke uncomfortably. “I ran away from home and was kidnapped by vampires; I passed out and then woke up. I was in a bed in my clothes” I stopped and pointed towards my dress. “I opened a door and suddenly something landed on my foot and then the next thing I knew, was that I was being crushed by millions of people” I sighed, and looked up at him. He stared at me awe, with his eyes wide open.
