Chapter Twenty Five
The Perfect End
You know the feeling when everything is just perfect? That's exactly what I felt right now. Everything was perfect. I was sitting in my room, with a goofy grin plastered on my face. Today, was graduation. Of course I was sad since all us friends would be in different colleges but the four of us, Maya, Cam, Daniel and me had been accepted at Berkeley, we all were more than happy to be together.
Life is just pure awesome. I broke from my train of thoughts when a knock sounded on my door. I stood up and opened it. Daniel was standing there with the cutest smile on his face. I grabbed him into a hug. He buried his face in my hair and we stood there hugging like idiots until someone cleared their throat. I immediately let go of him. Dad was standing behind Daniel with his arms folded on his chest. He was here for my graduation.
"Breaking rules I see?" He raised a brow.
"I'm sorry sir I..."
"I hugged him. He...wasn't even anywhere close to me." I cleared. Dad rolled his eyes before grinning and walking away. Daniel scratched the back of his neck and I pulled him inside the room, closing the door behind him.
"Excited?" He asked as we plopped down on the bed. It had been eight months since we were dating, I know, long time! But it was awesome.
Time flew by so fast we didn't even notice. And no, we had not gone further than kissing yet, we just didn't feel like it. Our life was perfect the way it was. I had gotten rather close to mom, everything was going good. I was happy, perfectly happy.
"Yeah! You?" I beamed. He chuckled and nodded.
"I'm happy we're going to the same college."
"I know, it would've been difficult if we'd go to different colleges."
"So, I was thinking now that we're graduating, how about we give each other a graduating present?" He wiggled his eyebrows. Oh, there he goes with those perverted jokes again. He always does that.
I gave him a flat look.
"What present?" I asked.
He didn't say anything, just smirked and shifted closer walking his fingers along my stomach and to my waist, pulling me flush to his chest.
We were now lying on the bed, in each others arms. I swear if dad or James walks in on us, we'd be in different corners of the world for the rest of our lives.
He inched closer, his breath fanning my face. My eyes instinctively fluttered close. I guess I don't need to mention he still gives me those tingles. His lips settled on mine after a second and I let myself give in.
We broke away after a few moments, panting for breath.
"That's it?" I asked, smirking. He raised his eyebrows and leaned in closer again.
"Mmmm...how about something more tonight?" He snuggled his face into my neck, tickling me. I pushed him away and giggled before walking to my closet.
"What should I wear today?" I tapped my chin. Daniel wrapped his arms around my waist from behind, resting his chin on my shoulder.
"How about, nothing?" I pursed my lips, shaking my head. He's never gonna change.
"How's this?" I asked, pulling out a hanger having a white summer dress.
"How does it even matter, you'd be covered in that stupid cape above this."
"Yeah but still."
"Wear a bikini."
"Babe, since when did you start acting like a girl?"
"Maybe because I am a girl?"
"You never cared what you're wearing."
"You mean I never cared if I was roaming around wearing nothing but a bikini?"
"Not like that silly. You know what I mean."
"I'm just bored, so I'm picking out clothes." I shrugged.
"At ten in the morning? The ceremony is at two."
He rolled his eyes before pecking my cheek and plopping down on a chair.
"Yo lovebirds!" Maya chirped and walked inside, followed by Cam. They still hadn't started dating. Eight months and there was no progress in their relationship. They still bickered like an old married couple, none if them had dated any other person too. Maybe something changes in college. I grinned and hugged Maya.
"Have you guys heard about knocking?" Daniel asked.
"Its not like you guys were making out." Cam said.
"What if we were?"
"As always, I would've interrupted. Simple." Cam shrugged. I threw a pillow at him. Always the jerk.
"Guys, Alicia is throwing a party tomorrow night. We're invited." Maya said while munching a sandwich.
"Who's Alicia?" I asked.
"She's the most popular girl in school. Both if these dumbasses have been with her."
Daniel and Cameron smirked and hi-fived each other. I rolled my eyes.
