the witchs daughter

this is my first book so any advice is welcomed lol ill upload when i can and sorry if this is short i kinda just randomly made it haha (-_-)

I woke up to a lot of yelling and banging. Then all of a sudden my mother bursts into the room looking frightened

"Hurry and pack everything you need" she says a little breathless

"Why mama?"

"You can ask questions later Pippa, just please hurry up"

There was yelling downstairs and dogs were barking i hurriedly threw some of my clothes and books in my suitcase. I had no idea what was going on, but i know if mama is scared then i should be too.

"Don't forget to pack some blankets" she says from the window where she is looking down.

"Okay mama"

I finished packing and walked over to where mother is. She is looking toward the woods

"We are going to jump out this window and run to the woods. Do you understand Pippa?"

"Yes mama"

"Good, and no matter what happens you keep running North until you reach a cabin. There you will meet some of my close friends it should be safe for you there. Do you understand?"

"Yes mother"

"Good, now go i'll be right behind you"

So i did as mother told me and threw my suitcase out the window and followed. Mother was behind me. i took of to the woods. When i reach the outline of the trees i turn around to see mother a couple of yards away. Then i hear a shot and she crumples to the ground. I watch in horror as blood starts to form on the front of her dress.

"Run Pippa, now" and fell face forward on the ground

So thats what i did i ran and i ran until the dogs barking and the mens yelling faded away. I sat down on the ground and cried until tears wouldn't fall anymore. Then i looked up at the sky and saw the North star and remembered what mama told me. I got up of the ground and followed the star until i couldnt walk anymore. I put out my blankets and let sleep come over me.

so plz tell me what you think. i know what ur thinking i mean kill someone right of the bat? but its part of the story and im sorry if it short (O_O)
