Part 7-

I looked at Lelouch and smiled softly to myself. I hadn't been able to concentrate in class for the last two months. I've been so happy. Black Bird had finally gotten herself a mate. I was truly blessed. The Standing Council did care for me. Lelouch kept me only happy and never the least bit of sad. He left me trinkets on my pillow, and i'd wake up every morning to them. Sometimes it would be a flower or a candy. Other times it would be a pinky ring or another bracelet.

Soon we'd be setting off to find our butterflies. Graduation was in no time, and it seemed like i was the only one who wasn't enthusiastic about it. That's why once again i found myself in the Standing Council's presence. Just this time with Lelouch by my side.

"We've all become quite accostumed to your visits dear."

"I'm sorry. It's just that i always have questions."

"Well go on. Regardless, you're here."

"Ask us anything, my love."

"Can Lelouch come with me on my quest for my butterfly."

"No. We cannot allow this."

"Then may i have my first child now."

"But that will embalance the pattern already created for you."

"I can still have my two sons, just later, but i want to have a child now."

"If we allow you to do this, the first child will come out as a mix like it's father. Leaving the second and third children to come out as one or the other."

"I do not mind. If i can't have him come with me, then i want to leave something of mine with him. What's better than a child?"

"You only have three months until graduation."

"That's where the other part of my request comes in."

"And what would that be?"

"That you use magic to speed up my fertilization and my pregnancy."

"And how would we do that?"

"Make every month of my pregnancy count as three. That way i'll give birth near graduation."

"And why should we do this?"

"Because i am asking."

"Tonight."

"Tonight what?"

"Tonight you will make this child. Go down to the basement chambers. Do it there. And then come back to us."

Lelouch and i bowed, and he led me to the basement chambers. Chambers wouldn't be the right words for the royal suites down here. I glowered at the beauty of the room left open for us. Lelouch cleared his throat and held his hand out to me. I looked behind him and the grand bed and smiled. I was ready. I was ready for anything.

Lelouch insisted i not fall asleep before we find out if it had worked, so he had to carry me back to the Cathedral. When we got there i stood to my feet, and tried to stay as still as possible. My thighs throbbed, and my knees were weak. But i still stood tall.

"You must try again. The fertilization failed."

Lelouch looked disheartened after hearing the news, but i grabbed onto his hand. Almost as if he knew what i was thinking, he lifted me and carried me back to the room. This time around i was wide awake. Feeling Lelouch on every inch on my body sent chills down my spine. And his hungry kisses. As if he couldn't get enough of me, and hasn't already had all he could recieve.

A bit more alert this time around, we returned to the cathedral. I held my breath and looked down at my bare feet.

 "Congradulations."

I let out a cry of joy and kissed Lelouch, his happy laugh rung through the cathedral, and we clung onto each other. Even the Standing Council members had faint smiles of bliss painted across their facs.

"Okay. This will be an odd stage in your life for you. Everything is going to happen to fast. I am sorry if this hurts you."

"It's warm."

"Good."

"Now it's really hot..."

"In ten days you will look three months pregnant my dear. Now leave us you two. Your friends await you."

The next morning i sat at the foot of the lake. It was the crack of dawn, and the rest of the house was asleep. Lelouch came up behind me, and stood quietly. I knew he had a question. But i didn't rush him to get it out. We just stayed quiet, watching our reflections on the water.

"Why leave a child behind?"

"Because i was told that it would take three years to find my butterfly."

"I see."

"I love you."

"I love you."
