The Last Of The Summer Rain
Hey I wrote this in the middle of night when I couldnt sleep months ago
finaly decided to put it up, It's just a wee short story, hardly even a story :L Or a poem I can't decide
So anyways tell me what you think :P

We run throught the streets laughing, splashing in puddles.
You pull me under the pool of light from a street lamp and our lips meet instantly.
The rain trickles down our faces and drips off our chins but we dont mind.
We break apart at the sound of foot steps approaching.
I clasp your hand tight, eyes focused on the group of men looming closer.
They want our money but we have none to give.
Suddenly a sharp glinting object is produced and you push me behind you.
There is a struggle, punches are thrown until you sprawl on the ground.
I call for help, my voice weak and strained.
But a sharp peircing blow knocks the breath out of me.
I clutch my stomach as naseau and pain sweeps over me.
Blood seeps through my fingers.
They exit quickly, checking for witnesses.
All alone, the numbness overtakes my body and you clutch me to you.
Your tears washed away with the rain as you rock me back and forth.
My hand so weak is clasped tightly by yours, as I stare into your eyes.
The distant wail of sirens are muffled by your sobs.
I smile and close my eyes and let the cool drops of rain run down my face.
You hold me closer as I inhale my last breath.
I open my heavy eyes and smile my last smile for you.
Leaving behind the last of the summer rain.

There must be something wrong with me because thats what I day dream
about at night , beautiful ways of dying. I know weird right ? :L
