Chapter 9

So I killed a DiRay. This, supposedly, is impossible.

So much for that.

"How did I kill them?"

"You somehow managed to make temperatures drastic enough to cut off their life supply."

"But I barely know how to control them!"

"We compared diagrams of a dead DiRay to a live DiRay, and found that you melted their bones. They collapsed into a pool of flesh by the door." Gale replied as he walked up.

"And here I was thinking I was good at using my powers." Becka declared loudly. I rolled my eyes.

"I'm not good. I'm just powerful. There's a difference."

"Becka snorted. "Not in my world." I shrugged.

"I can still kick butt with my wonderful DiMions, I can do anything. Aren't I, like, a hazard to humanity or something?"

White chuckled. "Technically; no. We're not humans, so humanity isn't in our virtues."

"Oooohhh..... "

"Yeah. Hey, we gotta get you to the pool." Good. I would get to see how I could use my DiMions in the water. Wait a sec." We stopped strolling over to the pool.

"Can I bend water besides breathing in it?" He looked thoughtful for a second before answering.

"It's only been done once."

"By who?

"You're Mom."

"Oh. You mean mystery mum?"

"You really shouldn't talk about our queen like that."

"If she was really my mom, she would have contacted me."

He rolled his eyes. "Give her some credit. She is the queen after all."

"Yeah. Let it be forbidden that the Queen doesn't contact her only daughter."

"You're not her only daughter."

"Oh?"

"She has three."

"Any sons?"

"Five."

"I HAVE SIBLINGS?!" I was extremely happy. I'd always been an only child with my other parents. It could get lonely sometimes.

He chuckled. A very cute chuckle.

"Why yes you do. Now can we get to training?"

"Oh yeah...... Training. Yay. "

After a brutal training session, I walked over to a weight bench. The training session was so hard. I had never gone into water, except for a shower. And I always thought it was easy to breathe in water for everyone else. Doctor White had taught me how to doggie paddle. Not much for a 17 year-old girl to learn in one day. Gale walked over to me with two mug in his hands. The training room had taken on  a dim lighting, as everyone else had left.

"Hey." He greeted me softly.

"Howdy." I replied.

"You looked like you were really pushing it out there."
