(Mika's POV)

"I'm getting married"

When my mother told me this three months ago, I was happy for her. Shocked, but happy. I mean, I hadn't even known that she had been dating. I really was happy for her considering that my dads been gone for five years now and that the guy she had married was great. Bob really was a nice guy. Now his son...he's a whole different story.

      Adrian.

Just speaking his name sends shivers down my spine. Oh, to everyone he was the most perfect being alive. You should hear all the praises that was thrown at him left and right.

Adrian is such a smart boy.

      Adrian is such a gentleman

Adrian is such a kind person.

      Adrianis so well mannered.

      Yuck.

Yeah, I admit thatin the beginning I was just like the rest of them. Upon seeing his sinfully handsome face,I had been fooled. He had been so nice to me when we first met and during the wedding he would always smile kindly at me and make sure that I was comfortable. I had thought that he was such a nice guy.

      Big mistake.

It's been two long months since we all had moved in together as a family, and since that day, I had no peace. I had come to find out that my "perfect" step-brother was nothing but a two-faced fraud. He wasn't nice and he certainly wasn't a gentleman.

No one knew this but the true Adrian was sadistic. He loves to smile angelically at peoples faces, making them believe that he's really a nice guy but once their back is turned...he's a demon! A demon I tell you!

Every waking day has been hell for me. At the moment, I happen to be Adrian's target. He constantly picks on me and makes me do all the chores! I tried telling everyone how mean he really is but they just look at me like I'm crazy. They'll never believe that the sweet Adrian that they so admired was the spawn of the devil.

And speaking of the spawn of the devil...

      "What are you doing?"

I squeaked, turning around to face him, Adrian, my worst nightmare. Oh, he was smiling at me with the smile that brought women to their knees but I wasn't fooled. behind that smile was another smile...the deadly smile.

       "I'm not doing anything."

He stepped closer to me till my back was pressed against the door. I gulped. I'm not going to lie, I was scared of this guy. Adrian was not someone to mess with. The other day, I had followed him and found out that he had friends in the wrong side of the law, if you know what I mean. Hell, I think he was probably their leader.

"Were you trying to sneak out?"

      "N-no."

His 'gentleman' smile grew widder. "Don't lie to me, you know I don't like when people lie to me."

      "You don't say."

Adrian placed a hand on the door above my head and leaned forward. He was a good foot taller than me so all I could do was look up helplessly. He was still smiling but his chocolate brown eyes were giving off a different vibe.

      "Mika..."

     "Y-yes?"

"Weren't you suppose to complete my math homework?"

Yeah, this was one the things he forced me to do. I mean come on, this guy was smart so why did I have to do his work for him?

     "I forgot."

"You forgot? Tsk, tsk, tsk." His smile vanished. "You're being a really naughty girl, Mika."
Oh Lord, someone please rescue me. All I wanted was to hang out with my friends today and look what I get.

"Adrian, Mika?" My mother popped out of the blue and I sighed with relief. Good, Adrian never did anything when adults were around. "What are you two doing?"

"We're having a little chat," Adrian smiled sweetly at my mother. "Are you going anywhere?"

"I'm going to the store to buy groceries," Mom beamed at us. "I'm so glad that you two are getting along! Now watch the house while I'm gone."

Before I can beg her to take me with her, she was gone, leaving me alone in the house with the devil's spawn.

"Now then," he looked at me, smiling. "Shall we continue our conversation?"

     My eyes buldged.
