~ ~ Conclusion ~ ~

( Amberly’s POV)

The sounds of motorbikes speeding towards the house filled the deathly silence that has been sending me insane for the past few hours, only the sounds of the ocean in the far distance was all that I could hear and now that it is night time I’ve had nothing to look at apart from the creepy shadows which keep making me cry harder.

Bright lights flickered on forcing me to blink repeatedly until I squinted my eyes and allowed them to adjust and focus on a big body running my way. I screamed in fright thinking I had somehow been found but when I opened my eyes properly my entire body sagged with relief as Phil began untying the ropes around me.

Jeff had tied me to a kitchen chair so he could leave since I had clung to him with everything inside of me, taking advantage of my last chance to beg him to stay and not go but he wouldn’t listen and we both knew I was being selfish since everyone else was already there but I didn’t want to be left alone. In the end I had been, in the end he had tied me up and walked out leaving me behind.

With puffy eyes I looked over at the sound of the second lot of footsteps and Dougy smiled slightly at me but he looked like he was in pain and worried about something.

“Has anyone else shown up yet?” Phil asked as I rubbed my free wrists, looking up at him he didn’t look too flash either but he was safe and I shook my head slowly before looking over at Dougy just in time to see him pick up a different wooden kitchen chair and slammed it against the granite kitchen counter.

“Dammit! Where the hell are they all?” he roared, making me jump in fright. Dougy turned and looked over at me for a slit second before turning away and storming out of the house again, slamming the sliding screen door shut behind him.

“W-what’s going on?” I asked with my voice breaking on me and panic setting in, why isn’t anyone else here yet if these two are? Where are they all?

“We don’t know, Leila left with Baden roughly the same time we did but they took the main road – we took the bush.” He muttered softly and I looked up to see the concern in his face, there was something he wasn’t telling me.

“And Jeff?” I asked quietly, my bottom lip trembling as I waited for him to answer. Please don’t give me bad news, please.

Phil stood up and shrugged, “I honestly don’t know, he and a few others were being chased by the cops.” And he walked over to the fridge and opened the door, standing there just staring in at it, wanting something but not knowing what.

“But he’s okay?” I pressed, biting my bottom lip as relief filled me; Jeff was okay. Phil nodded and slammed the fridge door shut.

“Dammit!” he snapped loudly to himself and pulled his phone out his pocket, dialling a number before holding it to his ears and waiting. His face impatient but still filled with worry and dread then complete anger and he cursed loudly before he threw the phone across the room. It hit the wall with a loud crack before falling to the ground in broken pieces.

“Neither of them were answering their phones but now they are out of service.” He spoke softly as he leaned on the counter with his head in his hands, “We should never have let her come......we should have followed them....dammit! Where the hell are you guys?” he roared the last part making me jump again as I silently watched him with wide eyes that silent tears were leaking out of.

Leila is missing?

Before I could even begin to think of what that could mean for her, Dougy came storming back in and he looked murderous as he slammed his phone down on the kitchen table, “I'm going out looking for her.” I growled and turned around.
