There are many different types of love. There’s the love a parent can feel for their child. The love one friend can have for another, a brother for a sister, cousins. Then there’s infatuation and idolisation. Many a young teenager has confused lust for love, teenage hormones being what they are. Teenage girls swear they’re in love just because they’ve got a boyfriend. But they don’t know the true meaning of the word. They don’t understand that to love someone - truly love them - you’ve to accept their faults and not simply gloss over them. Most teenagers just don’t understand the concept of love.
I can say that. I was a teenager once upon a time. But that was many years ago, even though I still look that way. I fell in love as a fourteen year old, was married by the time I was sixteen. Love like that doesn’t change or die, despite all of the tears and the heartbreak. It’s strong and powerful and remains no matter what. That’s true love.
True love is the sweetest thing known to man. It’s when you accept someone so truly that you act and think almost as one. That one person becomes the most important thing in the world to you. It doesn’t matter whether they’re male or female, black or white, human or Vampire. All that matters is that you’re in love. No one can tell you if it’s love, lust or a simple infatuation. When it strikes you, you just know. That’s why it’s so special.
Love is eight seconds on miles an hour. It’s waking up in the morning and the sun shining down on you, no matter the weather. Love is quite simply love. And it’s the most beautiful thing in the world.
