Forbidden Love

Beep. Beep. Beep. I threw my pillow at my alarm clock. Leave it to me to set it for a Saturday, at seven thirty am. This weekend is starting out great. I snuggled back into my comfy sheets, closed my eyes and started to drift off into sle- 

"Morning Rachel!" I groaned. I love my best friend but i just wanted to sleep. 

"I'm not awake, please go away."

"Haha, come on, Zeke is waiting for us!"

"At seven thirty?"

"Yes, now come on. Were already late!"

"For what exactly Mia?"

"I don't know, they just told me to be at the beach at quarter to eight."

"Did they say morning or night?"

"Morning, I think."

"Well, you go and find out well I sleep."

"Rachel, come on!"

Before I could protest she filped my mattress and sent me tumbling to the ground. I landed on my hip and yelped out in pain. 

"Oh girls? Your late!" 

"Zeke, how the hell did you get in here? Boys aren't allowed in the girls dorms." I questioned.

"Rachel, first I'm man, second I'm just amazing!" Zeke Replied. "I got some news as well."

"Shoot."

"Secret, be at the beach in five."

"But it's going to take me awhi-"

The door slamming cut me off. I had five minutes to get ready and met Zeke down at the beach. Zeke has always had it big for me but, i didn't feel the same way. Zeke had dusty brown hair cut just above the ears and eye browns. His dark brown eyes seemed like they had no end. He was tanned and toned with broad shoulders and he was the guy to date. He found it surprizing that i never liked him that way. 

I on the other hand had blond low lighted hair cut just so it touched my shoulders. Fierce green eyes that made boys swoon. I was one of the guys. Sporty, out-there, major flirt. Every girl in my school hated me. I was okay with that.

"Three minutes Rachel, hurry up!" Mia yelled at me. Mia, my Mia. She was all i had left when my parents died. Another reason everybody hated me, I was rich. My parents had died in a car accident coming home from a wedding socail when a drunk driver ran a red light. I woke up that night to red and blue flashing coming from outside my window. Then a knock at the door. Thats all I remember from that night.

I stood up from the ground and put a pair of sweat capris and a baggy hoddie.

"We got a minute lets go!" I said running out the door.

Nobody was up up at River's Academy, to hungover from the friday night party's. It was pretty easy to get down the halls without having to stop for people having conversations and endlessly flirting.

We stepped out the front doors and sprinted toward the beach, It was a warm muggy day, the sun just poking out over the horison. I could see Zeke's figure from here. Long, lean and muscular. I know what your thinking, but i honestly don't like him. Hes my best friend. 

"Zeke!" I yelled running up to him and giving him the biggest bear hug ever. He swung me around in a circle.

"You know how long I've been waiting for you to do that?" He murmered in my ear.

"Don't get the wrong idea." I said pulling away. Mia just reached the beach front.

"How, do, you, ahh. I can't breath. How did you run all the way here?" Mia asked breathless. Sweat was beading from her brow and her long brown hair was tied back into a messy bun. 

"Because," I said slowly. "I'm in good shape, not that your not, but I-"

"She's just exicted to see me!" Zeke said all proud of him self. I punched him. "Now you've done it!" He picked me up and ran toward the ocean.

"Stop, stop, stop!" I screamd at him, kicking and punching along the way. He stopped.

"One good reason why?" He said holding me close to his chest. I could feel the warmth coming off his body and I snuggled closer. "Mmmm, thats better." He said kissing my forehead. 

"Now let me go." I said into his chest. 

"Alright." He threw me, and before I could open my eyes I hit the water.

I plunged down deep, holding my breath then rose to the top.

Zeke was laughing his ass off rolling on the ground and Mia had a look of shock written on her face. I swam back to the shore and ran up to Mia giving her a big hug.

"Ahh, get off me your all wet!" Mia yelled in my ear.

"Thats what she said!" Zeke called out.

I let go of Mia and ran to tackle Zeke. He fell to the ground rolling over so he was on top of me.
