Sub-Chapter 20: Mind Jo Business

"Jo, you cheater, " Yuni fired picking herself up off the ground.

"Yuni focus," Ruth replied fighting to her feet.

Yuni nodded in an obedient manner. Jo had gained confidence from his last attack as he leaped from foot to foot in anticipation and energy.

SWIFT! The girls powered up and shot back into formation.

"Yuni, I told you you were being to obvious in your movement. It exposed our senses," Ruth shot. "We going to have to alternate now."

Yuni nodded apologetically.

"Sorry, Ruth," she replied.

Ruth turned to her cold.

"Don't be sorry, Yu, be better," Ruth shot.

Yuni's eyes glazed at the sound of Ruth's words.

Jo's body charged up once again.

LEAP! WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH! Jo sent fireballs at the girls as they dodged. Jo's aim was to knock the off guard. He was looking for an opening like the last. The girls were on guard.

BLOCK! Out of nowhere Yuni appeared right in front of him with a punch that exploded off Jo's block.

SPIN! SPIN! Yuni spent like a top creating a tornado that knocked Jo off balanced.

She used the tornado as a shield as the vortex pulled  debris from the surface that crashed against Jo.

BLOCK! She struck from the cover of the tornado as Jo blocked it.

"That's not working anymore Yuni," Jo replied. "You're going to have to find something new."

Yuni giggled loudly at the sound of his words.

"Oh, yeah," she shot.

BLOCK! She struck again with a front kick.

SWIPE! LEAP! She went from a sweep as Jo leaped trying to gain ground.

"Hey, Jo," Yuni replied.

Jo turned looking frantically for her.

"Jo, lookout!" Zech yelled.

As he spoke Yuni appeared holding a shotgun like cannon aimed at Jo from point blank range.

BOOM! Jo covered just as Yuni pulled the trigger. The shot exploded off his block sending him hurdling toward the ground below.

"No, fair, Yuni," Jo replied. "I didn't know we were using weapons."

CRAAAAAASH! He landed hard crating a dust cloud from the impact. He was talking before he hit the ground but his body lay motionless for second before he struggled turning over almost like he was falling.

"C'mon, Jo, get up," Zech replied.

Yuni giggled still undetectable as the tornado continued to tear the arena up headed for Jo.

"Shut up, Zech," Jo shot. "She caught me off-guard and she cheated."

Zech shot to his side using flash-step pulling him to his feet.

"It's not cheating, stupid, she never said she wasn't using it," Zech replied.

Jo stretched trying to ease his pain. His brow was split and blood drip out of his ear canal as he leaned over wincing.

"It is cheating," Jo replied. "We never use weapons."

Zech dusted him off aggressively.

"That's what I tried to tell you last night, this is not like our training with Yuni," Zech replied. "She's not our friend."
