[Eavey's P.O.V.]
He told me he was a vampire and yet here I sat Eating with him. I guess it was because what I said was true. I loved him. He said he loved me too. I wondered whether or not what he was saying was true. I knew he was a vampire. I had figured that something was different about him the day I met him. The thing that made me realize that I loved him was the fact that I didn't care. We ate for a while in silence. Both of us smiling at each other like complete idiots. We had our hands sitting together on the table our fingers intertwined. "So what's it like? I mean being a vampire. Is it like they say it is? I know you can go out in the light and it doesn't burn you to a crisp. I mean but the basic things. You eat regular food. Does that mean that you don't well drink blood." I whispered. He looked at me and smiled. "Where do I start? It's not exactly like they say. No, we don't melt in the sunlight, but yes we do drink blood." I unwilling flinched and he looked down. "We don't kill people. We just take a small amount. Just enough to calm our hunger. My family doesn't kill people. We are more civilized than that." I lifted his chin and nodded toward the door to ask if we should leave. He nodded and waved over the waitress for our check. She walked over to us and handed him the bill. I noticed her staring at the bill with an anticipating gaze. That was when I noticed the bill was a little longer than normal. He smiled at her and nodded his head. She looked disappointed as he took my hand in is and helped me up from my chair. He wrapped his arm around my waist and led me toward the door. "What was that about?" I asked as soon as we had paid and walked through the door. "She asked me if we were together." He said and then looked at me alarmed. "You don't mind that I said we were right? I mean you do I am very....." "I don't mind at all. Actually I quite appreciate it." "Hmmmm. Really." He leaned down and kissed me. I couldn't help my arms winding around his neck. He smiled and pulled away. "Eavey?" I looked up at him. "I love you" "I love you too." He smiled at that and wrapped his arm tighter around my waist. "Do you want to go to a movie or something. I was planning on having dinner and leaving, but we left kinda really early." He laughed as we walked back to the car. We were in some town near where we both lived but I couldn't exactly figure out where. I nodded. I hadn't been to a movie with a guy in a long time. To think of it I had never been out on a date with a guy at all. It was mostly me and my friends. I looked down the street. The theatre was only about two blocks away. "How about we walk?"I asked him pulling him toward the theatre. He smiled and started walking. "What movie do you want to see?" He said looking up at the list of names on the bulletin board above the clerks head. The list wasn't that long and I figured it wouldn't have been this being such a small town and all. They were only showing three movies tonight. I looked at my watch and then back to the list. There was only one movie we could actually see at this time. Then I remembered why they would be showing it with it being such and old movie. Friday the thirteenth was listed all three times with only one more showing. Today was Friday the thirteenth I finally remembered. Finally after a couple of minutes Erik found that there was only one showing left. He asked for two tickets and then walked into the lobby. It was small and smelled like stale popcorn and coke. I wrinkled my nose and pulled him to the room that was going to be showing our movie. We were thirty minutes early so no one would be in there. I decided we could just sit and talk and make fun of the previews for the upcoming movies. "Why are we going into there" he stopped and looked at his watch. "Thirty minutes early?" "I don't know. It's not like there is much else to do out here." He laughed and followed me into the room. We sat at the top of the stairs and talked for a couple of minutes. I said something about how scary the movie was when he laughed. "What?" I accused "Nothing. It's just that well I told I am a vampire. Something that everyone on earth pretty well thinks is fictional and you are scared of a movie. Something that isn't real." "Vampires are in movies too you know." I laughed. "But yes I am scared of this movie." he reached over and grabbed my arm. I gave him a confused look and he just smiled. He pulled me onto his lap and whispered into my ear.
