Shanelle was reading a book at lunchtime. She was sitting in the corner of the school yard where a bench overlapped with an overgrown fern. This gave her space to hide and think. And out of all the spaces in this high school this space was her favourite. Shanelle was reading, well trying too. She could not concentrate because she was still thinking about yesterdays kiss. Dan mitchell the hottest guy at school had kissed Shanelle Ericson. He had been drunk and they were at a party. Why was shanelle at a party? She new that she was definately not popular. Infact Shanelle was invisible, she was good at being invisible and she was good at being smart. so she would just hide out in the space she had found in the school yard and be invisible. Dan had probably forgoten everything and was friends with the most popular group in school. She new that nothing would happen between them given her academic smarts and outrageous style were constantly lowering her status amoungst the peers at school. She had no true friends and she never should have agreed to go to a party with her A lister cousin anita. But she did and she couldn't change that now. All she could do was hide and hope. hope that dan had forgotten the kiss. And if he remembered , she hoped that he would keep his mouth shut.
