Hey people!

This is another one of my poems which I wrote with an intention of writing something strong and emotional. I don't know how much have I succeeded in doing so but I still hope you enjoy reading.

I love you, I said…

‘I love you,’ I said

But you didn’t hear a word,

All the feelings of my heart

Though heard, yet remained unheard.

My heart shattered into a million pieces

As you walked away,

Tears streaming down my cheeks

I walked back home that day.

No matter how hard I tried

I couldn’t forget you now,

No matter how much I cried

The pain still lingered somehow.

But you didn’t care for my wretched heart,

I now realize you never did.

And all the words of love you said,

To me, nothing but pretence, my life they fordid.

You turned your back on my forlorn form,

Unmoved you walked ahead,

As I sucked in my last of breath,

And, while embracing death,

‘I’ll always love you,’ my last words, I said.
