It's been so long that you prob don't remember what's going on! So just to clarify she's coming home from her first day of school. Enjoy it! Couldn't resist throwing One Direction in there sorry if you're not a fan ;)

Chapter 4

"You've got this spell on meee. I don't know what to believe. Kiss you once now I can't leave! Cause everything you do is magic. Everything you do is MA-AH-AH-GIC!!" I scream at thte top of my lungs rolling down the window. " They say that we're no good together and it's never gonna work out. I want to put it on my record. I want everyone to find out!"

The wind whips my hair around like a tornado but it has the desired effect. "EVERYTHING YOU DO IS MAGIC. EVERYTHING YOU DO IS MAGIC. EVERYTHING YOU DO IS-" "Julianne!' The beautiful voices of One Direction are silenced abruptly and I glance over slowly to see Domonic's hand still resting on the knob. "I hate to tell you this," He starts tapping the steering wheel and biting his lip nervously.

Oh my gosh what could it be? He's moving me away from the mission? It's only been one day. What did I do? Oh my GOSH will I be under house arrest like Chase? Is Chase okay? Is he hurt? "but sweetheart, you can't sing at all.

"That's what this is about? Seriously!" He got me all worried for nothing!

"Now, don't be upset, Jul. You're still the best undercover teen we have. Well, aside from Henry, Conner and Leliah. And Tessa's getting pretty good with those tranquilizer darts. And then-"

"Ah-HEM" I cough loudly and roll my eyes giving him a fake glare. "That's enough of that. I get the best results and you know it. Henry and Leliah's twins are still in the hospital with a coma and a broken hip, may I remind you."

Dom hits the brakes quickly pausing at the red light as I smile in triumph with every passing moment of silence. "Speaking of targets," Dom runs his fingers through his messy black curls, "Did you see her?"

He must mean Lanie. " Yeah, but I made sure not to draw too much attention to myself. At least not yet. She didn't even see me." I fill him in on all the details, not leaving out what most people would hold back for personal reasons, such as the cute boy who found a chair for me at lunch. Maybe I'm obsessing or overanalyzing, but in this line of work even the little things can be important.

"Alright, good job. Ask your friend Macy about joining the track team. I think it'll be the easiest way to get to know her. "Track?" That shouldn't be too bad. I'm in great shape because of my training.

"Lanie runs track?"

Are we talking about the same girl? She doesn't exactly seem like the type of girl to enjoy sweating and straining muscles.

Dom rolls his eyes at me jerking to a stop at a stop sign before making a sharp left into more unknown countryside. I always love coming home from the city and watching as the buildings slowly fade into trees and farms.

"Well, you'll have to find out tomorrow. Apparently she's some kind of sprinting legend."

Dom smirks at me and swings the jeep into our driveway, steering to the left so another agent can fit in next to us.

"Julianne! Sweetheart, I haven't seen you in forever, where have you been hiding out?" I reach out my arms just in time to be crushed into a giant bear hug by Janet. " Can't BREATH Janet!"

"Oh, sweetie, I'm sorry, I don't notice my own strength sometimes." She winks at me while flexing her biceps teasingly.

Janet is like our number one thug but she's also great undercover because even though she looks strong she talks and acts more like a mom than a lifter. She's really really strong but also into karate and self defense. She taught me everything I know.

When I first came here kicking and screaming she was the one to calm me down. It took me awhile to trust her since she was the woman who had kidnapped me in the first place but I understand why she did it now.

They had their eye on me for years aparently, though I still don't really understand why. My parent's death was just the perfect time to strike.

Dom just laughs as I roll my eyes breaking into a giant grin. "Yeah, yeah you're strong Janet. Now, Jule, I think you have some training to do? Grab Leliah and run a few."

Dom orders shaking his head at us and I wait for them to go inside before letting out a giant groan and trudging up to her room.

"Leliah? Like really!"

She's the absolute worst to train with because she thinks- "I'm the best runner we have at SASS. Why are they making me slum with you?" Leliah whines the second she opens her door. Umm hello to you too.

I stay silent as she glares at me while tossing her sneakers on and pulling her blonde locks into a high ponytail. I swear she was a cheerleader in another life.

Just ignore her. Just ignore her. Just ignore-

"Hey are you even listening to me?" I look over warily to find narrowed blue eyes glaring at me.

" No... not really. No need to repeat though, I really don't care." I deadpan shrugging and walking out the door, my curls bouncing as I run to change into my running clothes.

I purposely prolong the walk to the woods where we're going to meet up. Maybe if I take long enough, she'll get frustrated and leave without me.

The forest is my favorite place to be. It's so quiet and peaceful and watching the seasons change is so breathtaking. It's like one day you wake up and spring has taken over the forest. The trees are in a half bloom and the flower buds are still closed, but it won't be long till the first day of spring, when the whole forest comes to life.

At the very edge of the tree line, Leliah is waiting impatiently, her neon green and pink sweats contrasting with the earthy colors blanketing her.

"Took long enough." She sneers turning her back on me and breaking out in a fast paced jog. Good thing I'm used to her grumpy attitude or I might find that offensive. I settle in beside her and relish the small sounds echoing throughout the forest. We've been running for about forty minutes before Leliah decides to break the silence.

"So how was high school?" I look at her quickly, hiding a laugh at the serious expression on her tan face. Is she trying to be nice?

"It's pretty good, I mean I've only been there one day though. I smile remembering how many funny memories with Macy can fit into that small period of time.

"Make any friends?"She asks and I look over to see a curious light in her eyes that her emotionless voice can't cover up though she certainly tried.

"Yeah, I've met this really funny girl. She was really nice to me actually."

A smile flashes across my lips vanishing when she retorts, "Only one? She probably just feels sorry for you since you're new. By tomorrow she won't even remember you." She bites out bitterly, frowning, and it piques my interest. She sounds like she's speaking from experience.

I know she won't want to talk about it right now so I say nothing and we continue the run in silence. Is she right? Was Macy just being nice to the new girl? Maybe tomorrow she won't want to talk to me. I'll just have to become part of Lanie's circle of friends then. How hard can it be?

Ooh Leliah. You are a fun one.  Thanks for the reads and feedback you guys I really appreciate it!
