Falling Stars

18- 

They circled us for a minute, eyeing us with those ominous red orbs. They looked smug, like they had already won. Oh, little did they know, what I was capable of.  

"little Renesmee Cullen. Your all grown up now. And you've even got yourself a boyfriend! What would your daddy think of that?!" a tiny blonde girl said and laughed. I just glared at her. There were five of them surrounding us, we were definitely outnumbered, I was going to have to pull something crazy... Just needed a minute to focus my energy. 

Jake growled then exploded into a 7 foot tall wolf, and barred his teeth at the Volturi vampires that closed in on us. 

I closed my eyes and tried to concentrate. I was going to make them run all the way to them run all the way to the Atlantic ocean and keep on going, but of course I could only do that one at a time.  

I felt ready, I was going to look at them one by one, starting with the blonde by just saying 'go'. My blood was pulsing so fast through veins, I thought they would explode. I could feel the release of adrenaline into my blood.  

I snapped my eyes open and looked straight at the blonde's blood red eyes and just barely got out the 'G-" before I heard Jacob yelp in pain beside me and a simultaneous crack, then everything went black. I soon realized that they had knocked me in the head, making me blackout (which wasn't easy to do), and that Jakey and I were going to be held as tortured prisoners by the Volturi.

BELLA'S P.O.V. 

I finished up making the burgers for the kids, and walked up stairs to get them. they were so cute thinking I didn't suspect anything. Edward didn't, thanks to me, but I didn't need to read there minds to know what they were thinking. Just the way they looked at each other. Their energies had 'I'm in love' written all over. I was glad that they could both be happy. But it definitely wasn't the best idea to tell Edward that. It was bad enough that before Alice disappeared, she was having visions of them being married and Ness being pregnant... Edward couldn't handle it. I never knew he would be this protective of our daughter. But I still love him just as much as the day I married him. Really nothing had changed between us at all. Watching Nessie grow up has been the greatest joy in our life, and it's kind of sad to know she's all grown up now, but I could still protect her from danger.  

I got to Nessie's door and knocked. No answer. I didn't hear anything beyond the door either... I opened it and no one was in the room, or Jake's. I began to worry. It's ok, they probably went to look around the lodge, I told myself with a terrible feeling in my stomach. I walked a little faster through all the halls, asking if anyone saw the two leave anywhere. Nothing. 

I called Him on my cell, "Edward the kids are not inside the lodge." 

"what?! We told them to stay inside!" 

"I know but they are not in here so let's go!" 

He hung up and met me at the back door. 

"the rest of them are looking in the front. Let's go." 

We started running, then I stopped dead in my tracks. Chills went all down my body and it felt like someone inside my abdomen punched me. Call it my motherly instinct, but I just knew Renesmee was in bad danger. 

"what is it?!" Edward asked worriedly 

"it Nessie. They got her!" I yelled 

We sprinted toward the trees and kept going till we found their scent. The Volturi had been there as well. We could tell by the weakness of their scent that they were far away.  

I dropped to my knees in a clearing where the scents were the strongest. Then I could smell her! She was really close. I ran to the spot where I thought she may be hidden. I pushed away the bushes and found a letter.... With Nessie's blood dripped all over it. I took the paper out of the envelope and read  

"We have got you precious daughter and her stinking  

Dog as well. Come to our palace and be prepared to  

Surrender what we want, or fight. Your choice. Either 

Way you LOSE.

I collapsed to the forest floor and screamed bloody murder in pain for my beloved daughter. I had no idea if I'd ever see her again in one piece. We would come to their palace to fight. And we would win, I thought to myself angrily through my loud sobs. I screamed again, and Edward was by my side. He took the letter. His face twisted in anger and hatred and he had a reaction similar to mine....
