This is my Watty Awards 2011 entry(A preview). Please vote in as many ways as you can and spread the word to all your Wattpad (and non-Wattpad) friends if you like it! Chapter One should be ready really soon. They're going to be long chapters... I mean, as if this were a proper book. So yeah, I know you lot like long chapters so...
Oh yeah and please comment too! I'd love to know what you think! Take a look at the cast and tell me what you think of them... Maybe it'd be fun for you to make some predictions about what you think is going to happen now and then you could see if you were actually right as the story develops. I hope you enjoy...

“Look at that and tell me what colour you think it is,” April ordered as she leant seductively over the stone table, her legs straight, back arched and cleavage in full view of the two boys she was talking to. She had her hands pressed flat against the cold surface of the table and the boys leant back to let the sun shine on her hands, so as to get a better look at the colour of her nails. After a few seconds, the taller of the two boys looked up at April’s expectant face and shifted slightly on the stone bench.
“Red?” He said incredulously. April straightened, and raised a perfectly shaped eyebrow at the boys. They both had a disappointed look on their faces, probably missing the clear view they had down her fitted school blouse. She moved gracefully and settled herself on the bench opposite theirs.
“Wrong, Ryan. Though you were close,” she said in a patronising tone. Anyone who went to Heywood would know that tone. She used it often. “It’s actually dark red.” She smirked at them. Both boys stared back at her, not knowing whether they should be confused or just nod and go along with her. After a few seconds of hanging silence, the shorter, curly haired boy spoke up.
“Isn’t that, like, the same as red?” He said, his brows furrowing in confusion. April threw back her head, tossing her long honey coloured hair a little, and laughed. Her straight white teeth seemed to sparkle as she did so. The two boys exchanged a look and then shrugged. It was always best to just stay quiet and let April do what she wanted to do.
She finally stopped laughing and busied herself straightening her shirt and pulling her hair over one shoulder. She cocked her head to one side and looked from one boy to the other. Letting out another short laugh, she sat up straight again, her dancer’s instinct making every move deliberate and elegant.
“Oh Cole, honey, no. No. You know why this dark red is different to the normal, common red? Because it’s deep and rich and seductive and, most importantly perhaps, it screams excitement. It’s a perfect representation of me,” April explained in a smooth, soft voice as she pressed her hands to her chest. However, the little smirk soon fell from her face when she heard a loud snort from behind her.
Cole and Ryan turned their attention to the source of the noise and April followed their gaze. Behind her stood Diana Williams, her ultimate competition in all things performing arts. April looked her up and down depreciatively, but it wasn't like Diana to bring their rivalry out of the theatre like this. Usually it was just dirty looks and glacial glares.
It was then that April’s cold blue eyes landed on the girl standing beside her. She hadn’t seen this girl before. And the stranger wasn’t even in uniform. April’s eyes immediately narrowed- this was a new girl. She stood and drew herself to her full height. With a twinge of disappointment, she realised that she was just about the same height as the new student standing before her. April had been hoping that she would have an advantage in the height department- it gave her intimidation routine a little kick. Oh well, what she lacked in height she could make up for in condescension.
