My wish. (Lauren Cimorelli story.)

Chapter eleven - I can do it.. I know I can!

Lauren's POV:
I sat on the couch in the living room, flipping threw all the channels trying to find something good to watch.

I felt the seat next to me be taken. I quickly looked beside me, seeing Dani there with a smile. "Hey Dani" I smiled at her and continued flipping the channels. "We are all going to the beach" She tuned me in.

To be honest I didn't want to go to the beach...but as Christina said I have to make the wish come true in order for it to go away.

"Am I allowed?" Dani looked at me shocked, then quickly erased the emotion from her face. "Of course" I jumped up, placing the remote in her hands. "See you in a few."

I shot up the stairs, and I couldn't help but think of the last time I went to get ready for the beach...my birthday...I shook the thought from my head.

Positive, I need to think positive. I need to stop thinking in the past, this is the present and I need to focus on this. And I need to have a good time. Spend time with my family. Be nice, so I can have my old life back, the one I want to so bad. I wan to redeem myself, I want to hug Chrissy until she can't breath.

I want the old loud and proud Dani, and the talkative Amy, the caring Katherine, the easy going goofy Lisa, my wild crazy little boys, The fit Mike, and the nice caring Alex. And I wanted my caring mother and tough father too, because I won't disappoint him again...that was the biggest mistake of my life.

After I changed into my bathing suit I slipped on my cover up and raised my hair into a high pony tail, grabbing some glasses and a towel. I walked down stairs, seeing everybody ready. 

My mom smiled which surprised me a little bit, but I just smiled back and walked to the door with my family.

We all piled into the van, I saw in the back with Amy. Lisa and Katherine sat infront of us. Then the rest filled the other empty spaces.

I couldn't help but look at that one spot in the van where I know Christina would sit, and as I thought of her she appeared in that empty spot, smiling at me. "Good job Lauren" She spoke softly, even though the others can't see or hear her. 

I brightly smiled at her, pulling on my seat belt, not looking away from her. Cause if I did she would fade out and then it wouldn't feel like family.

The little boys where sitting calmly in there seats. Dani was starring out the window, Katherine was texting along with Lisa, Amy was starring down at the ground. I bit my bottom lip, I was always the shy girl in he family, quiet and serious with my loud and proud moments...but maybe I should start a conversation.

I took a deep breath "Yeah, I love your shoes too Amy" I said with a giggle, she quickly looked at me with a smile "Yeah" I smiled and looked over at Dani "Dani don't you?" She quickly looked over and Amy lifted her feet.

Dani chuckled and nodded. "Your weird" Lisa mumbled "Like you could t..." Then I had to remember she's not weird anymore, she's pretty mature. She gave me a strange look, I sighed and looked down with a sigh.

"Hey mom, me and Lisa were going to go out with some friends tonight" Katherine announced "With your boyfriends you mean" Dad butted in with a smile. Boyfriends...wait...Lisa has a boyfriend! That's...that's a major change!

I looked back over a Christina's space in the car and sighed "Don't freak, stay calm. Your doing so good Lauren" I sighed, biting my bottom lip. "Yeah" Lisa said with a grin. "Is he a jerk" I mumbled without anyone hearing.

Christina nodded in disappointment. I looked back at Lisa "But Lauren don't say anything, don't start anything" I sighed and took a deep breath "I guess that's fine" Luckily mom just parked the van.

I rushed past everyone and ran onto the beach, away from everyone and Christina appeared behind me. "Chrissy this is to much..." "Don't worry! You can do this!" She placed her hands on my shoulders, although I couldn't feel them it was still nice to have her touch.

"I believe in you okay Lolo" I smiled and nodded at her. "Just make your wish come true, make the best out of everything okay" I sighed "It's going to take some time but I'll try" Christina nodded, proud. 

I smiled and felt a tap on my shoulder. Christina faded away. I quickly spun around seeing Dani and Amy there with confused looks. "Why'd you rush out like that and why were you talking to yourself" I just brightly smiled.

"Just want to get in the water, come on!" I grabbed there arms and sprinted off with them.

If I want my family back soon then I need to start working harder on getting my wish to come true. Let's do this.

After a quick dip in the ocean me and Dani made our separate ways from the rest of the family for a while, taking a walk down the beach.

"So...I have a question" I spoke up, glancing at Dani. "Shoot" She said with a smile, I smiled back "It's going to seem weird but I really need you to answer, okay" She just nodded with a smile.

"Before...you know I started acting all weird a couple days ago...I need you to tell me how I acted before." Dani chuckled "Your right, that is weird...you don't know?" I sadly shook my head.

"I'm worried about you, did you hit your head?" She stopped walking, placing her hand on my forehead, feeling around for any sign of a bump or a scratch. I chuckled "No, please answer I'm desperate" 

Dani sighed and took her hands off me, beginning to walk again. "Well...you were loud" I bit my bottom lip, I didn't like this "And always kept yourself away from everybody." I looked down "You always went out, I'd have to cover for you sometimes." I looked at her, in shock...I made Dani cover for me, putting us both on the danger of getting in major trouble...I did that.

"And...there was this one time you came home...and you were drunk, the first time you were ever drunk. And you had a boy with you who was drunk, and he drove you home...you could have gotten killed" I looked down, not remembering a single one of these events.

"And I guess you could say...you didn't exactly look like...you where alive like...you always starred out into space, like your body was on auto pilot" I was so confused "I'm sorry" I whispered "It's fine...I like who you are now. I can see that you want a better life."

Christina appeared infront of me, she was brighter, less dim then before. "I'm so proud of you Lauren!" I smiled "All we need is the others to believe that. Amy does to, so it's just the boys, Katherine, and Lisa. You can do it I know you can" I smiled and nodded in her direction.

I looked back at Dani and gave her a HUGE hug "Thank you Dani! THANK YOU THANK YOU!" She hugged me back while laughing cause I picked her up and was spinning her around.

I can do this...I know I can!
