We've happily live in our lake house and have now for 5 months. Nearly every day at sunset we both relax in the lake and watch it go down. It's the time where we can be happy without any conflict between our families.

We're happy with just us two living in this house but something sparks up in my mind.

I make my way from our bedroom to where Peeta is in dining room, busily working on a painting.
I never knew he painted alongside baking but it's always nice to him relaxed as he enjoyed one of his hobbies.

I stand silently in the door frame, twisting my wedding and engagement ring anxiously. Can I do it? I know he's going to be happy so why am I nervous? I silently take a deep breath before approaching.

As I stand behind him, I run my hands down his shoulders and over his chest.

"Well Hello." Peeta greets and I chuckle. Peeta stops painting and tilts his head up to look at me. We exchange smiles before sharing a short kiss.

As we break away, I look towards his artwork. "That looks amazing." I breathe as I examine our home at sunset. The lake in the foreground and the tress being silhouettes as the orange and pink colours illuminates the sky.

"Thank you Katniss. I like it heaps that I was thinking we could frame it and put it up somewhere in the house."

"Peeta, we have so many of your sketches and paintings up." I joke and let out a small laugh before continuing. "Why don't.... you put it up in the spare room?" I suggest and pull up a chair to sit beside him.

Peeta turns to me, bewildered. "The spare room? Why? It doesn't have a use, no one is going to see it." Peeta retorts and my stomach tightens slightly.

"It - It is going to have a use soon." I state and look towards my entwined fingers, too nervous to look at him.

"It's going to have a use soon? Katniss, I don't understand." Peeta comments and I slowly look up to him.

"Peeta.." I trail off, not being able to say it. Peeta pushes his seat out, creating a screech, and turns to sit facing me.

"Yeah?" He murmurs, raking his hand through my brown locks.

"I'm pregnant." I announce and his hand jolts to a stop. I bury my head away in my arms, not wanting to look at him. I know he's not happy.

I hear Peeta get off his chair and kneel in front of me. "Katniss?" I lift my head up to see his, tears building in his eyes. "Is it true?" Peeta questions.

I nod, letting out a smile as I see his become wider. "Yeah." I mumble and Peeta pulls me into a hug.

He stands up and I do along with him. We hold our tight embrace for as long as we can before Peeta pulls his head away from my shoulder.

Silent tears run down my face as I see his eyes full of joy and his cheeks moist.

He brings his lips to mine. We make it passionate as Peeta pours his happiness of this news onto me.
We separate and I laugh. My eyes stare into his bright blue ones before my head buries into his shoulder and his into mine.

1 year and 2 months later after the loss of Rose Mellark, we can celebrate as we both have been gifted with another child. And that in 9 months we hope to meet and finally become parents for life.
