Chapter 6- Praying Sharks
Why wont this idiot just leave me alone? He keeps talking and that blonde keeps staring, and i just keep fuming. Doesn't he take a hint? Man, what i'd do for a little help from the 'big guy upstairs' right now.
Isn't he suppose to be there when we need him? You're soo great.
I wasn't even paying attention to what he was ranting on about..Just leave me alone.
I know! Why dont i just skate over to the girl..maybe she'll take it as her cue to make her move., or the fact that i am trying to help her out.
So i skated towards her slyly, and the dufus followed. So far so good. Inching myself closer, the stupid blonde kept glaring, and when she realized that i was getting closer, some stupid cute guy skates up to her and takes her away! Jerk. So that plan went down the sewer.
Looking up at the disco ball on the ceiling, i noticed that..what's his name again?......Oh, Tommy had stopped yapping. In fact he wasnt even next to me. Not that i wasnt happy. I guess the 'big guy' is there for me after all. Amen.
Just in case he came back i quickly manuvered my way towards my fav old geasers. They were having a..chugging contest?! I gotta see this. There was a whole crowd around our table, and guess who was front and center?
Yup, you gussed it. Dufus!
'Chug!' was what the crowd was saying. trying to squeeze my way through, with little luck let me add, i finally ended next to Mr. Hall.
Just in time. I got there just in time to witness Gma finish 10 seconds before Mr. Hall. Slamming the soda cup on the table, Gma rose her hands in victory and the crowd went wild. Its one thing to be beaten at an old age, but when you are old and you get beaten by a girl..well that's a whole n'other story.
Mr.Halloway looks peeved. Some employee gave her this weird plastic golden cup. Believe me when i say that the chugging jug was HUGE! Like the size of an adults' head! I scooted closer to gma and gave her a hug.
"Oh! Charolette you saw that?!"
"How could I not?! The whole skate floor was deserted. I was the only one rolling around." I smiled. She looked at ME sympathetically.
"I'm sorry Charolette..I didn't mean to ruin your fun!" I rolled my eyes. Ruin my fun?! This was the highlight of my night!
"Gma, you are insane! This IS the HIGHLIGHT of MY FUN! The whole time, the idiot delinquent from last night kept bothering me." Speaking of the devil. From my peripheral vision he came up to Gma.
"Excuse me ma'm, but that had to be the coolest thing i have ever seen! I mean, no offense, but you at this time in you life?! Amazing!" He said that last part hesitantly. I rolled my eyes.
"Oh, umm.. thank you..?" Obviously Gma was waiting for him to say his name.
"Tommy" We both said at the same time, but me more flatly. Actually i dont think he even noticed that i was standing there until our jinxation because he jumped a little, then relaxed. What, scared of a girl? AHAH
"So..you two know each other?" Mr. Halloway asked. I guess his little peeving moment was over. You could tell by the way he had his hand around her.
We both nodded. "Gma, this is the guy i was telling you about...you know, from earlier?" she finally took the hint. i didnt want to say he was the idiot who ruined my fun. I kept side glaring him. Hopefully he would burn to a crisp! But guess what, that didnt' happen!
"Oh, why dont you join us Thomas?" She was only doing this to get me peeved! Gosh, this old geaser! She really had this thing for not judging a book by its cover. Well she didnt have to listen to him talk about chicken pot pie and how the crust was the best part. I mean seriously, who does that?!
"For...?" I said flatly.
"For..some..pizza?" She looked at him hopefully, trying to avoid my glare. I swear she is going to not like me when we get to whereever we are going.
I turned around and stalked off into the direction of the lockers. I guess he followed me because i heard him say, "You dont like me that much do you?" Why would he ask me that?! Does it matter? He's a freaking delinquent for crying out loud. A total stranger, a badboy!
I didnt answer. "Guess thats a yes."He whispered.
Oh god! Please help me once again! Or better yet just have someone walk through that door with a gun and start shooting up the place. Ok maybe that was a little harsh. But who wouldn't be! They were actually getting along! What happened?!
