Profiling Rapists

Alright so I want to share my wisdom about profiling with people because I dont see a point in knowing things without sharing them with others. Now here I will give a description of the four types of rapists used to classify sex offenders.

1) Power Reassurance Rapists- Always in search of his own masculinity. The least violent type of rapist. Statistically these offenders have low levels of education, he will be a loner, and he will  take souvenirs of his rapes.  Sometimes these offenders will even ask women they rape out on dates later. He is unlikely to be reported to the police, because they are so different from what people expect from a rapist due to the fact that there is no physical violence in the crime. He does not take care of himself and he is most likely known as a stalker. May even live with his parents still. In other words, he is a complete loser.

2) Power Assertive Rapists- Has total confidence in his masculinity.  He wants to dominate women, because he feels he has all that women want and they have no right to say no. He probably drives a sports car, is athletic, and probably has a wife. His ego is very large. He is indifferent to the pain he inflicts, and will not take as many souvenirs. He works in jobs that society views as masculine. In other words he is a complete chauvanistic pig.

3) Anger Retaliatory Rapists- The next most violent rapist is always in search of revenge against women. It could be abandonment, abuse, or even imaginary offenses. His appearance will most likely be similar to that of a power assertive rapist. His attacks will be less predictable, because this type of offender's attacks are based on emotion. He will try to tear down his victims by degrading them as much as possible. Any type of negative action a woman takes against him could possibly fuel an attack. Picks victims of the same age and ethnicity.  He may also try to find someone who looks similar to the person that wronged him. Likely to turn to killing his victims once violence escalates. In other word, this person feels a need to harm innocent people because of percieved wrongs in the past of their life.

4) Anger Excitation Rapists- This is the most violent type of rapist. He gets a sexual release from inflicting pain on women. He is not trying to get revenge or assert his masculinitity, but he is just in search of a sexual release. other than that he is similar in every regard to an anger retaliatory rapist. In other words, this is a true sadist and probably one of the worst types of criminals out there.
