The Cupcake Girl

Chapter 52:

-Jennie's POV-

"Harry, wait a second!" I groaned as he jogged, quickening his pace down the street.

"Catch me! Tag, you're it!" He goes as I sighed.

"Slow down, will you?" I ignored his remark.

"No! Come on, move those lazy bones!" He pulled a small smile, dimples on either side of his cheek.

I forced my feet to move a slightly quicker pace, but failed badly. I haven't ran or really did anything this past few weeks.. It was tough to just suddenly get myself back into the real world..

I was also partly guilty, because every time Harry would try to cheer me up, I would always shut him down because. I believed that there was no longer any reason to be happy. Because dad was..Gone.

Sometimes, I wish I could've done something, but.. Harry always told me there had to be some point I had to get back into my life like before. I couldn't just lock myself up in my own little world like I did back then..

I hear Harry sigh a distance away from me as he starts to walk at a normal pace now, giving up on encouraging me to run after him.

I bit my lower lip, taking in a deep breath before sprinting towards him and jumping onto his back, my arms wrapping around his neck. His hands quickly found his was under my thighs, caressing me on his back in a piggyback ride.

"Tag you're it." I whispered teasingly in his ears. Even though I could not see his face, I knew that he was still smiling widely.

My hands travelled up to his curls, playing with them slightly as Harry carried me on the way, people staring at us as if we were probably the cutest things on this planet. I mean, in my opinion we were.

I let one of his curls wrap around my finger, circling it around and tugging at it playfully.

Harry let out a throatily moan out in pleasure as I giggled.

"More." He moves his head up slightly for me to wrap my hands in as I smiled.

My hands slowly ran through his hair, my nails slightly scratch his scalp as I feel him shiver. My eyes lit up, seeing that I had been taking over Harry right now. It was kind of like summoning a demon, should I say.

"I love you, you know that?" He says slowly.

I smiled, looking up, other people starting to grin at the both of us. I was surprised we weren't getting crowded by fangirls though.. I think it was a Monday that's why.

I blushed. He hasn't told me that this past few days.. I kind of missed it.

"Where are we going again?" I asked as I looked at the places we past while Harry walked down this same street.

"Somewhere." He simply states.

"Will you be more smart with your words, Harold."

Harry laughed, as I felt it vibrate through his back, making me smile.

"We're almost there, I promise."

"Promise?" I questioned disbelievingly. I was a bit more cautious with that word nowadays.

"Yes, promise." He nods slightly.

My feelings in my body and mind had slowly started growing back. I smiled, not helping myself to give him a peck on the cheek.

-----------

Harry was not lying. About a minute later, we had arrived our destination. He put me down on my feet as I looked up at the tall figure who was staring at the building with a smirk.
