Chapter 10 ~Katie

**KATIES POV***

What am I gonna wear was the only thing running through my mind at this moment. Cayden would be here in 30 minutes and I'm standing in my bra and underwear. I sighed frustrated and decided to do my hair and come back to the clothes. I turned on my curling iron and put soft curls in my hair and just left it down. I put on a little bit of makeup but tried to make it look as natural as possible. And now I'm right back where I started... Standing in my closet in my bra and underwear.

Finally I decided to go with the lacy tank top and some cute cut off shorts. After I was fully dressed I heard a knock on the door. My heart did a back flip with excitement. I grabbed a pair of sunglasses and ran to the door. I took a deep breath and opened the door but couldn't help but smile when I saw him. He was absolutely gorgeous. He bit his lip and looked me over I couldn't help the butterflies that erupted in my stomach.

"You look great." He said smiling flashing his pearly whites.

"Thanks!" I smiled and took this time to look him over. He had on dark denim with white vans and a light blue t-shirt. It really brought out his golden skin. " so do you." I said after I checked him out

"Are you ready to go?" He asked

I smiled and nodded my head. I followed him to his car. He walked over to the passenger side and opened the door for me. A huge grin broke across my face. "Thanks" I said

"So I figured we could go to the coffee shop where I can give you the coffee I owe you." He winked at me " and then we can go to the beach."

"Sounds good to me." I said as we headed to the coffee shop. "So how did you start working at that new restaurant?" I asked trying to break the ice.

" I own it." He said simply while smiling

"What! Then why are you a server?" I asked confused

"I like make sure I see everything that goes on in my restaurant. Plus I want to make sure my staff gives great service so I lead by example." He smiled

"That's amazing!" I turned to him " and your restaurant is amazing! It has become my family's favorite restaurant."

"I'm glad you like it cause I like seeing you there." He smiled at me

I blushed and noticed that we were at the shop

"wait right there." He said as he ran around the car and opened my door

"Thank you." I said and got out

When we got into the coffee shop we were greeted by a surprised Ansley. I laughed at her then looked at the guy sitting across from her. I stopped smiling instantly.

Lucas

"Well hello Katie." Lucas said

Cayden put his hand on my back when he saw how upset I was about Lucas.

"Uh Cayden this is Lucas... The jack-ass who is staring with me in the movies I'm working on." I said emphasis on jackass while looking at Lucas

"Wow... Cayden are you really gonna let her insult your brother like that?" Lucas asked smirking

My jaw dropped. I turned to face Cayden shock written all over my face. Cayden gave me a weak smile.

"Your his brother?" I questioned Cayden

"Half brother. Same mom different dads." Cayden explained

Well that just great. How can Cayden be so sweet and Lucas be such a jackass

"You really down graded bro." Lucas said laughing

Ansley reached over and hit his shoulder and gave him a look

"Uhg your such an ass." I said getting pretty angry

"Lucas shut up. No I did not." Cayden defended he looked down at me with a week smile "do you want to skip the coffee and go to the beach?"

"Please." I sighed I did not want to be around Lucas any longer

"Beach? How about Ansley and i join yall? Make it a double date?"

"Uh..." Cayden started to speak but it was too late. Lucas was already headed for the door

I groaned and looked at Ansley. She mouthed a sorry and followed Lucas.

My now perfect date has turned into a date from hell. I hate Lucas.

After a few hours of being insulted by Lucas we finally left the beach and we headed back to my house.

"I'm so sorry." Cayden apologized as he was walking me to my door

"It's fine I work with him." I smiled

We stops at the door.

"If my brother hasn't completely scared you off I would like to retry this." He said referring to the date

"I'm not scared off that easily." I smiled

He grinned showing me his gorgeous smile. He leaned down and kissed me on the cheek.

I couldn't help but blush. I smiled at him as he walked off. I went inside and closed the door doing a little happy dance.

I heard movie going on in the theater room. It sounded like Drews favorite movie which means Drew was most likely here. I walked into the theater and smiled at them. Kilie was asleep on Drew's chest. He leaned down and kissed her on the head.

"I really love you Kilie..." He said

I smiled they really were cute.

"When are you gonna tell her?" I asked startling him a bit.

He looked back at me "I don't know." He said as he was gently putting Kilie on the couch. He walked over to me and sighed "how did you find out?"

"Because at lunch you looked at Arianna the way you look at Kilie." I said simply

"Please don't tell her. I know she doesn't feel the same way and I don't want it to ruin our relationship." He looked at me pleadingly

"Drew I won't tell her but I think you should. Kilie could surprise you." I answered

He nodded his head "well I better get going. Will you tell Kilie I had somewhere to be is why I didn't stay the night?"

I nodded

"Thanks Katie..." He came and gave me a hug "love you."

"Love you too Drew." I said simply

I knew when he said he loved me it wasn't the same as when he told Kilie he loved her. Drew and I had a brotherly sisterly love and I loved it that way. But Kilie and Drew have something more. I honestly hope he tells her because I think she will realize she loves him too.
