Chapter 10 - Time moved on...

A week passed and I'd gotten really, really close to the Sanchez's, but also close with the others, Tori especially, she's awesome. Logan and I had spoken quite a lot, he never did when I was with the Sanchez's though and the Sanchez's didn't when I was with Logan. The whole thing was ridiculous and I was still none the wiser of what both their problems were, if they actually had a problem with each other.

Dad was barley ever in, he left early and came in late, so I rarely saw him. Which I wasn't really bothered about if I was being honest; he left me money daily so all was good. I didn't really spend much time home; I spent most of my time at the Sanchez's pad. Nothing was ever mentioned again about the so called 'hunter' or the Trent thing in the forest. Though they wouldn't ever let me explore the forest alone! So I knew something was still weird.

"Dad is Cyrus coming down this week?" I called up. It was Sunday mid-morning and hopefully my brother would be coming to stay for a week or maybe two. Which I was looking forward too massively.

"Yes, last time I spoke it was all still happening, Tuesday evening probably he said"

"Okay great" I replied, wondering off into the kitchen to make Dad and I some tea, as the kettle boiled and the steam rose up through the ceiling, yes I watched the steam! I heard Dad on the phone,

"Darling...I know...soon I promise you, soon...let me...no...I will, when the times right...okay...I love you too...bye...bye"

After hearing this one sided conversation I sat leant against the cupboards. Whoever Dad was talking too he loved. My first thoughts were Mum. But that relationship burned out years ago, there is no hope in hell that it'll be her. That means it's someone new, maybe this was why we moved down here, not just because of his job, but because he had a secret lover we didn't know about. Or did we know about? I'll have to inquire with Cyrus about this and what does when the times right mean, what isn't he telling me about her? My thoughts were interrupted as Dad called,

"Are you still making tea?"

"Yes sorry, I'm just coming," I made him a tea, I didn't really fancy one anymore and brought it into him,

"Where's yours? I thought you were joining me"

"Who was that on the phone?" I asked, completely ignoring his question,

"Oh, just someone from work telling me about some meetings coming up and some extra paper work I needed to do", he answered then smiled at me. I didn't smile back; I knew he was lying,

"Just going to do some homework" I told him then left the room. I didn't actually plan on doing homework, but that's what I ended up doing. Sat at my desk, doing some work for Trent and my R.S coursework. Which we actually hadn't done any of.

The rest of the day went reasonably quick. I did quite a lot of the homework, rang and spoke to Tori. Then chilled out with the Sanchez's at the Pub, which is where I still am now, oh its 7pm. Yes time really has flown.

"So, why are you two, Blake and Holden still at sixth form when your 21 and 20 years old?"

"Because, we're thick" Holden answered,

"Speak for yourself Bro" Blake said, I laughed,

"No really, why?"

"We're so naughty and badly behaved that we never do any work and keep getting held back a year" Blake replied,

"I don't believe you, sorry", then I turned to Trent and Brayden who I can still not believe are twins and said "And you two"

"Same as our brothers, we're troubled individuals Angel" Bray' said. They annoy the hell out of me so much with the lying,

"We're not lying" They replied.

"Guys" I groaned, they smiled. "How old is Logan?" I then asked,

"How should we know?"

"I don't know, maybe because you're lying to me 'again' about hating him"

"Drinks?" Brayden announced,

"Why do you lot always change the subject?"

"Is that a yes or a no?" I groaned and got up from the bar where I was sitting and made my way outside the pub. It was cold and dark; I plonked myself down on one of the bench tables outside. The night was rolling in, the sky dark. The wind whipping ferociously through the trees. But other than that, silence. Well apart from the muffled sound of men in the pub, laughing away. I shut my eyes, the sooner I understand and figure out the whole 'secret' of the Sanchez's the better.
