Angry footsteps rush up to the door and the door swung open at the same instant she walked into the study, not caring if the Alpha was busy or not.  Even with fury rolling off of her in waves she has enough self control to tap her long fingers on the desk delicately.

"I have had it!  If a single one of your pet alphas even attempt to dry hump me again, I promise that they will not be having those urges, ever again.  Look at me!  Look at the state of my blouse!  Those idiots!'

Timothy took in his daughter's appearance and burst out laughing, and when she stuck her fists in her sides he laughed even harder.  The two men sitting in chairs got a good look at the state of her blouse, it was barely hanging on a thread!  And showing of the well toned body beneath.  Wisely they made no sound and continued to watch in silence, her shoulders relaxing as she joined her father, laughing until they were both out of breath.

"So Cassy, if you are in such a state, what have you done to those poor guys?"

"Not much daddy," she answered sweetly "but that one idiot is holding a piece of his ear to his head hoping it will attach itself again."

Timothy pushed himself away from the desk, his chair rolling back towards the window, he choked and made a garbled sound before finding his voice.  "Cassandra?"  The question was laced with power, but the young girl just shrugged it off.

"Dad, you know I don't mind them flirting, however lewd they might be, they can even try and steal a kiss, but when they start groping, I draw the line.  Besides, he practically stuck his ear in my mouth.  Idiot!"

As her father shook his head she walked around the desk and sat on it, facing him.  "Why won't you let some of the other girls help me out, I might get some work done that way?"

"Oh Cassy, you know very well that would not be the case at all.  Those girls would give the guys one look and . . ."

"Yeah, one look and they would go in heat, and you'd have alphas trying to rip each others throats out."

"But why couldn't some of the older women help out then?  It's not as if they are terribly busy at the moment."

Timothy wheeled his chair closer and Cassy lifted her feet, putting them on his thighs as he stopped in front of her.  He sighed, and she noticed the darker rings around his eyes, the slightly sallow complexion, and immediately felt guilty for complaining.  Her father had a lot on his plate.  This pack was one of the few that remained almost untouched by the war against the rogues.  And he felt a very strong obligation to get the were communities back to their former glory.  A few lives had been lost, her mother, his mate one of them, if she missed her so much she could only begin to imagine how much he felt that loss.

"Cassy, it will take at least three or four of them to do what you are doing, and they still wouldn't be able to cope with my pet alphas.  Besides, things are already too crowded around here, I even had to ask Will to put your brother up for the duration.  And you know how pissed Gareth was about it, but hey, at least he will get a good nights sleep."

"Well I am happy to know at least one of us will be getting a good nights sleep.  I have actually considered sleeping in wolf form tonight just in case one of them gets overly ambitious."

Her father growled, his eyes tightened and darkened.  "If any of them try anything, I will personally rip their favorite appendages off my love."

"Aw, that is the sweetest thing anybody has said to me today."  She purred, giving her dad a quick hug before sliding off the desk.  "Dinner should be ready in about fifteen, I just need to finish of the salad.  Not that these big boys would probably eat it, but they should at least have the option of getting some greens in their diets.  Have you heard the way they have been eating all this time?  Just because they are wolves, doesn't mean they should neglect the human part of their diet.  Men!"

She turned around, and came face to face with the two other occupants of the room.  Or rather face to face with one, and face to chest with the other.  Now Cassy knew that she was not what any one would call petite and that did not bother her in the least.  She was well built, her body toned and healthy, tall as they come and built to make it look good.  To put it nicely, she had an athletes body, firm, strong and in no way delicate.  And here she stood, in front of this huge beast, and she had to lift her head up, and up . . . and up to find his face.

The last coherent thought that crossed her mind was: 'My G*d, he makes me feel small!'

As soon as her eyes met his, she was lost.  Utterly and completely!  Her whole world shifted and she became a new person.  A new person that had to have this man in her life for it to have any meaning, any purpose at all.

This realization took but a millisecond to take hold of her, then the wolf that was normally so well contained struggled for dominance thrilled beyond reason that she had finally met her match, her mate, and Cassy could not contain the fierce reaction of her inner beast.

Nor could she contain the powerful reaction her body had.  But this she was totally unaware of, but not the males.  As soon as her body went into heat the pheromones hit them between the eyes, and left the two strangers reeling.  Cassy only became aware of this when she saw him take a shuddering breath, his nostrils flaring to take in all of her scent.

Neither one of them even noticed Timothy forcibly remove the second man and push him out the door.  He locked the door before turning back to face the two who still stood unmoving as statues.

"Cr*p!"  He spat out, dragging his hand through his hair.

"Yes."  They agreed, speaking at the same moment, still in a daze.

He laughed humorlessly.  "Can the two of you take a seat, or are you going to jump at each other?"

"Daddy!"  Cassy exclaimed, still unable to tear her eyes away from those holding hers captive.  Deep green eyes, the colour of the forest on a late afternoon, with light gold specks, just like the sun breaking through the leaves.  She notice the scowl on his face, the way it made him look fierce.  He swept his hand across his face in frustration.  At the sight of those big hands, her mind wandered to all the delicious things he could do to her with them.

This time she was fully aware as her arousal flamed through her body, falling over her like a tidal wave, and sweeping her up and mercilessly dragging her along for the ride.  Unconsciously she clamped her legs together, and even that small movement caused the flames to fan higher.

The effect on her mate however was astounding.  His breathing became laboured, each breath drawing him to her, filling his body with a need so profound the he couldn't wrap his mind around it.  Not that his bloody mind was working too well at the moment.  But he never believed the stories about mates to be true, he never thought it possible for one person to become the centre of his world so completely that he felt lost without her.  Up to now, his life had been a mere collection of days and events.  Today, he started living!

While a part of his mind was struggling to come to grip with what had just happened, he had to use every other bit to calm down his wolf.  If Cassy knew what was good for her, she would back off.  He took another deep breath, satisfying his wolfs demand to catch as much of the scent of her arousal as possible, like it was a drug to him and he would die without it.  He was pleased that her need for him was so strong.

"Our mate!  Claim her now!"

"NO.  Back off, we need to be careful with her.  Can you feel her power?"

"Our pups will be strong too."

Cassy saw him step back, but at the same time his arms lifted towards her, as if in disagreement.  He bent forward, resting his hands on his knees as if he no longer trusted them.

He took slow breath to calm him, but it did not seem to cross his mind that in his current position, he was closer to the source of the scent that nearly had him loosing his self control.  He ran to the other side of the room.

"My g*d woman, are you trying to kill me?"
