He hates the fact that management has not allowed him to tell the world you're together.

You both have been best friends for so long and as soon as the fans saw a picture of you both holding hands you got alot of hate, from simple hate messages to death-threats.

Also, Louis is so afraid that if they find out you'll get hurt. Plus, the management wants his status to be 'Single' so he doesn't lose fans.
