Chapter 1- Welcome To Mystic Falls

First day of senior year, how thrilling. I didn't hate school, I really enjoy it but I've been to so many different schools that it gets tiring. I looked at myself one more time in the mirror; I had picked out an outfit that was so me.

I mainly wore black all the time but I'm not gothic. I'm a nice person; I would give my shirt of my back for someone, which is unlikely for most rich kids.

I'm also very smart and very athletic, I been in gymnastic since I was in diapers. My maid Rosemary was the one who got me into gymnastic and dancing. She wanted me to out there doing stuff, and not sitting down doing nothing. I'm not stage fright at all; I'm very outgoing and active. I was always like a daughter to her, and after my mother's passing, she was like a mother to me.

My mom died three years ago from a car accident, I miss her but I have to learn to move on and live my life. My father was the head of his family's business we're apparently royality in Italy, so he's not around a lot because of business meetings, and when his not in a meeting or signing papers, he's in his study working. I have my mom's features including her long blonde hair and deep blue eyes which turn icy blue sometimes depends on the lighting or my mood. My mother and I also share the same personality, perky but laid back. But like my father I can be short tempered and bruelty honest, which makes me....me.

"Carson Summers, you're going to be late for school!" Rosie placed her hands on her hips, making me laugh.

"Yes mother." I said sarcastically, making Rosie roll her eyes playfully. I walked down stairs, grabbed my keys, and walked to my garage.

"Love you, Rosie!" I shouted closing the garage door, "I love you too honey. Have a wonderful day." I heard her yell from upstairs; I close the door and unlocked my car.

I pulled out of the garage, and when I reached the road, and turn to face the direction of school, I stopped. I looked over at our neighbor's house, it was like ours. It was build in the late 1800s, the front yard was design the same way ours was except I had our gardener planted some rose bushes. The house looked empty, but well kepted. Rosie said the house was The Salvatore Boarding House, for new people in town to stay until the Salvatore brothers came back to town. Rosie didn't get there names, but she said that they had no parents, and it was just them left. I didn't see any one but I had the feeling of being watched, but shrugged it off. I put on my sunglasses and sped down the street.

DAMON'S POV-

"So why are you going to school, again?" my little brother question me as I swallow the last sip of my scotch, and then pour another one.

"Well... this way I can be around you 24/7, and your precious little girlfriend, Elena." I always said Elena's name with suspense and eerie told, which always got underneath Stefan's skin.

"Whatever." He threw his arms up, walking out of my room. I snickered and turn to look out my bedroom window. "Damon." Stefan peeked his head around the corner, "Don't do anything stupid."

I rolled my eyes. I was telling him the truth, but when do I ever tell him the truth.

The 'truth' was I had no idea why I wanted to go to school, for one I hated school and the people in it. But something inside my head told me I needed to go to school, expectally today. The sound of a car caught my attention; I look out the window to see a white Lamborghini pull out of the neighbor's garage. The car stopped in the road, but because they had black tint I couldn't see in. There just stayed there for a minute or so, then sped off. I grabbed my bag and walked down stairs, Stefan had already left to pick up Elena, so I went straight to the garage. I smirked at the first car I saw, and grabbed the set of keys. I unlocked my favorite car, my black Ferrari and the whole way to school I was smirking.

CARSON'S POV-

I pulled into a parking spot in the front row, and reached for my bag in the back seat. I kept my sunglasses the whole time I walked up the side walk. There was a bunch of students on the front lawn, chatting and hanging with their friends. It was silent when everyone's focus turn to me; they all watched me like hawks.
