Love in time: An Egyptian Goddess Story

Heather sat at her computer trying ot focus on her work in her tiniy office. Her head was pounding and her energy level was low. Typing away on her keyboard she had to stop every few minutes to rub her eyes just to stay awake. Sleep had not come easily the night before and it was still quite a while before she could clock out and go home. Every time she had closed her eyes last night the dreams had come. Always the same dreams yet, always different. Last night had been the worse. She had dreamed of him, the man who wasn't a man. She could never focus on what he truely looked like except that he was everything and nothing to her. It was like dreaming of being in the arms of someone you loved yet, what nothing but to run away from them forever. He didn't even really look like a man. In her dream one minute he was a man wearing a white and purple robe so elegant and in the next moment he was carrying her away inside her head with the body of a man and the head of a goat or what look liked a goat because he had horns. It had felt so real and had made it impossible for her to get any real rest. He always said the same thing to her when he came inside her dreams. In the sweetest deepest voice almost father like, " Soon my love, you're almost twenty five and the time will be here, Please hurry love." No matter what the scenery in the dream because sometimes she was on a ocean and other times in the clouds whenever he spoke the words she woke crying, weeping as though grieving for the biggest love she had never known. Sighing Heather tried to focus on her work little help it did. Luckily her boss wasn't here today to keep an eye on her lack of productivity. Staring at ther computyer screen she tried to foget about her lively dreams.

" I said Good Morning." Starled Heather looked up and smiled. Javon was waiting for her to say something. " Oh uh hi, I mean morning." She was completely out of it. " What, you can;t speak to anymore?" Javon asked. " No, I can, just not with you, Heather said sticking out her tounge smiling. The one good thing about her job despite her nasty boss deemed the " Amazon" by all her coworkers is she was friends with almost everyone. She loved to smile and to joke with all of them, plus she knew all the office gossip and even though she kept her mouth shut she couldn't help but, love being nosy and knowing all there was about her friends like whom was hooking up and dating whom and who was going to get fired. It was a bad habbit but, what did she care. She was lonely and office gossip and politics was all she really had to get her through the day.

The day went by quickly and heading home she decided to stop by the local Dairy Queen to get a chilli Dog. After going through the drive-thru she headed home tired after a long day. She could barely remember the details fo the day. She really needed to get some sleep but, the dreams she was having so real she was afraid to sleep.  

Walking in her front door she kicked off her heels and headed straight to her couch grabbing the remote to turn on the T.V sadly there wasn't anything good on so she sat down to her chilli cheese dog when the phone rang. Picking up the phone She said, " Hi Niko, What's up?"  

" Hey, how did you know it was me?" Niko asked. 

" Who else is it going to be?" She smiled Niko was her best friend the one who made her days and nights feel a little less lonely. It was strange that she knew who it was without looking at the caller ID because Niko usually texted her cell he really didn't like talking on the phone, like most guys.
