~Marceline's P.O.V.~

I was blinking sleepily, about to sleep when I heard someone running down the hall and knock on my door before running in, shutting it, and I heard the click of a lock. I saw a slender figure climbed into my bed and began to crawl towards me.

"Keila, I told you it's over, I found-" The familiar scent of cotton candy cut me off. "Bon?" I rubbed my eyes to get a better look when I felt a head to my chest and tears on my shirt. "Are you crying?" Her sobs started then, her small hands gripping tightly I my shirt. Her head buried into my shoulder. I asked no more questions and just brought my arms around her. She shivered abit and pressed herself closer. I stroked her hair gently, waiting for her to calm down. Her hiccups quieted but I still waited for her to speak. The first words I hear, break my heart.

"No one has ever held me like this. Thank you. And I'm sorry for coming in without permission." She whispered lowly. I just smiled.

"No problem. Wanna talk about what's wrong?" I felt her shake her head at my question.

"Just don't let go. Please." I held on tighter to her and she snuggled closer. Neither of us was gonna get to sleep anytime soon so I figured I'd let her get to know me and vise versa.

"Hey Bon." I felt her hum of acknowledgement. "Want to play 21 questions?"

"Okay." She giggled abit against me. "You first."

"What is..... Your biggest fear?" I asked.

"Losing the people I love." She answered truthfully. "How old are you?"

"I'm 22." I was actually curious as well about her age. "What about you?"

"I'm 19. Turning 20 in a few weeks." She pulled back and looked me in the eyes. "How long are you going to keep me here?" Her big beautiful eyes looked at me innocently. It broke my heart. I didn't want to let her go. I COULDN'T let her go. But it wasn't fair for her to keep her here.

"Do you want to leave?" I asked, hoping for a negative response. I saw her hesitate. She took a deep breath and stroked my cheek. I looked at her, still waiting. I felt something aside from her soft skin touch my cheek. I tilted my head slightly and saw some old scars on her wrists. Before I could ask she noticed and pulled her hand away, hiding it under the covers. She avoided my gaze, I let out a sigh and pulled her close again. She let her head fall on my chest. Suddenly it grew heavier and she went limp in my arms. She snored softly against me. I smiled a little, brought her wrist up and ran my thumb over her scars. I frowned and kissed them and laid down to sleep. I swear she was blushing as I closed my eyes.
