"Baby. Wake up." Nicholas said.

"I'm up. My eyes were just resting." I said.

He laughed. "Yeah right." He said. "Food is done."

I sat up in his bed, waiting for the food.

"Here you go dolci." He said placing a tray in my lap.

"Dolci?" I asked.

"Sweets in italian." He said winking at me.

"I like that better." I said.

"I know." He said and stole a kiss. "Take your vitamins." He said.

"I took both." I said.

"Oh okay." He said.

"Nicholas can I ask you a question?"
I asked.

"Yeah babe. What's up?" He asked.

"Did you miss our first appointment because you were mad at me?"
I asked.

His eyes bulged. "I'm so sorry baby. I really forgot." He said. "I am so sorry I wasn't there for you." He said.

"It's okay." I said nodding my head.

"So- so how did it go?" He asked.

I shook my head. "I didn't go through with it. I thought that it wouldn't be fair to take that moment away from you." I said.

"Thank you for being so considerate baby." He said kissing my lips. "I swear I didn't miss your appointment on purpose. I went to Italy, last minute it wasn't planned." He said.

"I know. Why did you have to go?"
I asked

He sighed. "I'm now the CEO of my grandfathers company." He said.

I smiled brightly. "Babe, that's great." I said hugging him.

"It would be great if I wanted to be." he said.

"Why don't you want the company?" I asked.

"It's just not something I want. I love being a surgeon, saving lives, running a company isn't what I want." He explained.

"So how'd you get it if you don't want it?" I asked.

"Because my grandfather put it in his testament. " he explained.

"Well do you want my advice?" I asked.

"I need it." He said.

"I think that if you really dont want to run the company, give it to your cousins or brothers." I said shrugging.

"That's the thing. I've been trained since I was young to do this stuff and I'd love to do it babe, it's just that saving lives is my passion. I love it more than being a business man. But I can't bring myself to do that to my grandfather. Like I owe it to him." He said.

I nodded my head in understanding. "Okay, you don't want to run the whole thing because it takes over your medical practicing right?" I asked.

"Exactly baby girl." He said. I moved the tray, and laid between his legs, his arms wrapped around me.

"So, how about you and the boys run it together." I said.

"Baby, you sure that's smart?" He asked.

"Come on babe, Think about it, you're like the brain, Alessandro is a great business man and is good at negotiating, Jonathan is great at marketing, he helped me at the shop so his ideas, along with a team would be amazing, and Alessandro, is a great people person. He can pull investors babe. If this is really what you want to do, you can do it. You have a huge successful family that will support you and my family is huge as well and will support you just because I'm with you. Use your resources babe and make your Nonno proud." I said.
