A World of Shadows

A different world;
A world made of black and white.
Shadows engulfing the night.
Everything around them,
Is nothing but dark and grey,
Never any light to shine the way.
The people strive.
They try to flourish.
Their black hearts may never nourish.
Acting all normal,
They laugh and play,
Hoping that the darkness will fade away.
But will light shine upon them?
They will never know.
Will colors begin to show?
They can only hope.
The darknesstries to pull me in.
Yet, without darkness there is no light.
Shadows cannot exist without the sun's shine.
The light was always there,
The people could just never see.
The light which brings happiness to me.
