Chapter Thirty Five Epilogue

Seven Months Later

Cole paced in the hall outside the medical room, AJ sat in a plastic chair that they had placed there and watched as his brother walked back and forth back and forth.

“Cole can you sit down for a bit, you’re starting to make me feel dizzy walking back and forth like that?” AJ asked his brother.

“How can you ask me to sit down when my mate is in there giving birth to my child?” Cole said throwing his hands up in the air.

“Why don’t you go in there and see how she is doing?” AJ asked

Cole shook his head vigorously “I can’t my wolf would go crazy if I see her in pain”

AJ sighed and watched his brother continue to pace “I am not looking forward to when my son is born, if this is how I will be” He said looking at Cole.

Cole stopped pacing and smiled at him “Liar, I know you can’t wait to see Kane,” Cole shook his head “I can’t believe you guys found out what sex he is, you couldn’t wait a few simple months for him to be born to find out?”

AJ shrugged his shoulders “We wanted to know what colour to paint the nursery” He explained

Cole rolled his eyes at his brother “That’s a weak excuse and you know it”

“Whatever” AJ grumbled

Danny walked down the hallway “Has she had it yet?” He asked

“No” Cole said shaking his head

“Oh” Danny said as his smile fell from his face.

Cole treated the young boy like he was his brother, he looked up to Cole more then he looked up to AJ. He and his sister Ashley were leaving in a couple of weeks to go and do some traveling with Cole and AJ’s parents.

Their dad had stepped down as Alpha a month after his father had died, as expected Aaron had taken the news of his father’s death and his mother losing her wolf badly. Nobody had seen him for a month. Aaron had locked himself in his office and wouldn’t let anyone enter, not even their mother Chloe could convince him to open the door.

They had their grandad’s funeral a few days after he was killed, Aaron didn’t attend but every one heard Lucy’s wolf mournful howls as their grandfather was being buried.

Luke hadn’t returned and they could only assume that he was with Lucy hopefully trying to help her regain some control of her wolf. Cole knew that Luke loved her, but was a little shocked when he abandon the human he took as a mate, even though she wasn’t his real mate and had never marked her. It still came as a shock to everyone that Luke could have easily abandoned her. His human mate, left the Mountain Ridge pack after waiting for about four months for Luke to return.

Ella left that same day she had arrived, as soon as she heard about Aaron’s father dying she felt that she and her family should leave and allow the pack to morn. Ryder, Zoe and Ben still keep in touch with her.

Aaron and Chloe both needed to get away for a while and spend some time traveling they had decided to take Danny and his sister Ashley with them. They were going to be taking them to theme parks and Zoos and do fun stuff kids should do. Stuff that they hadn’t been able to do since the Hunters had attack their pack.

AJ and Rose were not able to do it because AJ now had the responsibilities of the pack as well as Rose being pregnant.

“Ok well let me know as soon as she has it,” Danny said breaking Cole from his thoughts.
