Victimology:

This is where a profile looks at the facts surrounding the victims. It is not only vital to understanding the killer, but to maintain a proper perspective a person must realize that the victims are far more important than the killer. These are all innocent people like you and I who were killed by a deranged individual. And while it is natural to be fascinated by the perpetrator, we must not forgot that if it was not for the victims the killers would be ultimately insignificant. Anyway lets get going with victimology.

Victim 1) August 21, 1888: Mary Ann Nichols- 42-year-old prostitute nearly decapitated by a double slash to the throat. Left carotid artery severed.

Victim 2) September 8, 1888: Eliza Chapman- 47-year-old prostitute double slash to the throat severing left carotid artery. In 20 minutes the body was mutilated beyond recognition. In fact, the coroner said that he could not have done so much damage to a body in that limited amount of time even with his extensive understanding of human anatomy.

Victim 3) September 30, 1888: Elizabeth Stride- 45-year-old prostitute double slash to the throat severing the left carotid artery. Interrupted.

Victim 4) September 30, 1888: Kate Eddowes- 46-year-old prostitute double slash to the throat severing the left carotid artery. Killed 45 minutes after the UNSUB (or unknown subject) was interrupted during the Stride kill. Left kidney and uterus taken as trophies. Intestines arranged around body.

Victim 5) November 9, 1888: Mary Jane Kelly- 25-year-old prostitute double slash to the throat severing the left carotid artery. Breasts cut off, stripped of clothes, clothes thrown in a fire, face mutilated, and internal organs arranged on and around the body.

Victim 6) July 17, 1889: Alice Mckenzie- 40-year-old prostitute double slash to the throat severing the left carotid artery. Cuts to the abdomin.
