Story Notes:
Harry is given some unexpected information over the summer between his fifth and sixth year. New allies are found and old friends prove they are not.

Harry sat alone in his bedroom at Number Four, currently brooding over the events of the last month. In the span of less than twelve hours, though to Harry it felt like a lifetime, he had found the official record of Trelawney's prophecy, been face to face with quite a few death eaters, seen the prophecy orb shatter, watched as Hermione, Neville, Luna, Ginny and Ron were all almost killed, and been possessed by Voldemort. Dumbledore had shown up in time to save him, but just not in time to save Sirius, as Harry watched Bellatrix stun him and send him through the veil. After Voldemort fled the Ministry with Bellatrix, conveniently not doing so until after the Minister and most of his senior staff seeing him, Harry had taken a port-key back to Dumbledore's office, where after hearing the prophecy again, he proceeded to lay waste to as much of the office as he could, though Dumbledore offered to let him break more, even if Harry was done, though a plan was forming in his mind by that point.

Moody had simply told him that things were being taken care of, and left it at that, though it did little to quell Harry's curiosity and confusion. The morning after his arrival, Tonks appeared to check on him. She smirked as Harry simply stared before realizing he was still in just his boxers, then took pity on him.

"Wotcher Harry," Tonks said, grinning, "looking good today aren't we?"

"Tonks?" Harry said, now completely bewildered.

"Don't worry," she said, morphing a bit to prove it was her, "and this is completely off the record, understand?" Harry nodded dumbly, then pulled on a pair of pants and a t-shirt. "OK Dobby, do your stuff."

"Yes Missus Tonksy," Tonks growled at the name, but nothing more, "Dobby is to bond to Harry Potter, so he will be able to use magic without getting Harry Potter sir in trouble." The elf bowed, muttering something that sounded like a mixture of welsh and latin, after which he grew a few inches, and looked decidedly more threatening. "Master Potter, if you would stand beside Miss Tonks."

Dobby, after Harry and Tonks backed up against the door, proceeded to enlarge the room considerably. Adding a full bath, two bedrooms, a sitting area...
