Within And Without
Encased in darkness,
Drenched in hate,
I wonder why no one can predict my fate.
While crying within,
I greet the world with a smile
Speaking softly, screaming on the inside
Laughing uproariously, when all I want to do is die.
All you see, all you know
Is just an act, is just a show
Look at my smile, can't you see I'm faking?
Listen to my laugh, can't you hear my heart breaking?
To me, it's obvious, whenever I look in the mirror,
For there is a dark cloud just over my shoulder.
There is no true happiness, no true sun,
Just me on my stage, and you the clueless crowd.
