Chapter Twenty-Nine.

When a waitress showed Lillian and Ryan to a table, she reached around Lillian and pinched Zane cheek lightly, "What a cutie!", she said. When she stood back up, she asked, "How old is he?".

"Two months.", Lillian answered.

"So handsome and such a beautiful family.", she said and Lillian blushed, thanking her. "Okay, what can I start you both with?".

"Pepsi for me.", Ryan said.

"Sprite.", Lillian said.

She nodded and left, getting there drinks. Lillian smiled at Ryan, happy they were doing something together as a family. He looked up from his menu with a confused amused face from her staring and chuckle, "What?"

She shrugged, "Nothing, just really happy. Today I realized how lucky I am because like you said like last night, most guys wouldn't stick around and I'm just happy you did."

"Well because I love you both.", he said. "Even if Zane does wake me up in the middle of the night."

She chuckled and wigged her finger at Zane and he grabbed her finger, bring it to his mouth. "No, no, no.", she said, taking her finger from him.

The waitress came back and gave them their drinks. Ryan ordered a bacon cheeseburger and Lillian got a breakfast meal of pancakes. Zane then started fussing and she took him out of the carseat, bouncing him.

"Shh, it's okay.", she said when he started crying.

"Here let me try.", Ryan said, holding his arms out and she handed Zane over to him, relief since she doesn't have to be the one to make him stop. She swears her biceps were all muscle now since she always holding the chunky baby. Ryan cradled him and bounced him, doing all the shhing and trying to calm Zane down. It took a moment, but he finally did. "Aww see, it's alright now.", he said. "What? What are you looking at?", he asked when Zane was just looking up at the ceiling and around the dinner.

He then placed Zane butt down him his lap and bounced him as Zane tried to put his fist in his mouth. They then started playing with him when Lillian grabbed a toy of his and switched over to sit next to Ryan.

Lillian was tickling his belly when the bell to the dinner ringed and Lillian heard a group of laughing teenagers. They both turned their heads to see people from school they knew coming in and one of them was Jeanette.

They all noticed Lillian and Ryan were here and they all seem to grow quiet and Lillian felt awkward as she turned her head away from them as she looked down at the table while Ryan said, "Hey guys."

"Is that your baby?", one of the girls squealed and came over to the table. "Oh my God, look how adorably cute he is!", she said, reaching over and grabbed his hand gently. "Look at his tiny hands and feet. Can I hold him?", she asked, looking at Lillian and Lillian nodded and Ryan gave her Zane. She bounced him and made baby noises as she spoke, "Aww, your just so cute. It's Zane, right?"

They both nodded as some of the others came over and looked at Zane, making baby noises and saying how cute he was. They also congratulated them both and Lillian couldn't help but think how fake they were. These were the same people who were calling her slut and a boyfriend stealer not so long ago and now that Zane's here, they think it's going to be alright?

Lillian couldn't help but take a sneak peak over to where Jeanette was and she was at table, looking down at her phone. Lillian knew she had no reason to feel guilty but something about it still made her feel bad.

She looked back at everyone as another girl was holding Zane and he didn't once cry, she actually think he was liking the attention.

"Oh, I just wanna take him home with me.", the girl said that was holding him and ticked his belly.
