Chapter Nine

I sat in my room looking at myself in the mirror as I thought really hard who could know about Summer and has the gut to tell Landon. I analyzed myself in the mirror. I look way skinnier and my face looks natural without make-up. Landon said he saw he tests in the stable bin which is not true. Summer kept them in her hand bag for proof. I know she did. So someone told him, but who? It has got me stuffed. No one was around when she took the test. I shook my head and got up and walked outside to the stables. Landon was brushing the horses. I stopped at the big doors and watched him carefully brush the horses as if they we’re glass. He looked at me while continue to brush the horses then stopped.

“How could you hide something like that Nicki?” Landon asked sweetly, but sadly. I closed my eyes for a second and then opened them. He looked like he was in so much pain.

“Landon, I’m sorry but it is not my thing to be going around and telling everyone. It’s Summer’s choice when she decides to tell everyone. Not yours!” I said getting overly frustrated. He is just acting like a big baby!

“Great. Now you’re angry at me. I haven’t even done anything!” He said getting frustrated too.

“You’re acting like a big baby Landon! Instead of being a baby, maybe you should go support your sister instead of being angry at the whole world!” I shouted and then stormed out of the stables and back into the house. I stormed into my room and sat on my bed. Summer walked in quietly and sat next to me.

“I guess that didn’t work out well.” Summer said.

“That was my bad.”  I said.

“He’ll come around.” Summer said.

“I hope so. It’s so depressing.” I said. Summer patted my shoulder and left my room. I sighed and stood up, grabbed my coat and headed out the front door and down the street. It was a nice sunny afternoon so I put my sun glasses on. I walked in the wind and thought about home once again. How is my mum coping? Do my fans still love me? How is my Young Money family coping? I can imagine Drake sitting on the famous red couch in the studio with his head buried in his hands.

*flashback*

I got in early at the studio because of what happened last night.

“Drake, what the hell?” I said as he sat on the red couch.

“Nicki, I did not throw a bottle at Chris. I swear on my whole rapping career.” Drake said.

“Well that’s not what everyone else thinks.” I said.

“Tell me something I don’t know.” He said.

“Nope.” He said as he sat down on the couch. He looked so frustrated. I sat down next to him and hugged him.

“It’s okay. You’ll get through this. I promise.” I said. He nodded quietly.

*flashback ends*

I sat down in the park and looked at my hands in silence.

“Well hello there.” Someone said. I looked up to see Derrick. “Nicki right?” He said. I nodded. He smiled and sat next to me. “I can’t help but wonder why you’re so sad for.” He said.

“How’d you know I was sad?” I asked.

“Well you’re alone in a park and you’re looking down at your hands.” He smiled.
