Aqua Adventures (Harry Potter fanfic)

Harry Potter Fanfic! Okay so I’ve been reading some Harry Potter Fanfics and I think they’re great but I want to try writing one differently to the others. So tell me what you think!

Chapter One

Right let’s start this off with an introduction. My name is Aqua Rose Dumbledore. Yes Dumbledore. I’m his granddaughter technically but he raised me pretty much since I was born so he’s more of a dad to me. I call him papa actually and he legally adopted me so I’m officially his daughter. Not that many people know. For a few reasons papa has kept my existence a secret from nearly everyone, except for uncle fillius,  uncle Snape and aunt McGonagall. One of the reasons is that I would be targeted by many dark wizards, not that I couldn’t handle them, another reason is that I am a mermaid. Well half mermaid, but the only difference is that full mermaids and mermen always have tails, gills and don’t leave the water. Me being the ‘special’ person I am I only turn into a mermaid when I’m in water. Unless I’m in the shower because do you know how incredibly hard it would be to shower while your half fish? Exactly.  Let’s get some merpeople myths and what not straight before we get into my wonderful life story. There are two types of merpeople, the kind that are scaly, animalistic, generally cruel type (the ones that are from the harry potter movie) and there are the type that are more like humans with the exception of tails, gills and never leaving the water. Next myth is that every time you see a mermaid in movies and read about them in books there always slim, beautiful, long haired wonders. Yeah right! Mermaids generally have short hair because do you know how annoying all that floating hair would be all the time? And merpeople can be fat or ugly, just like humans. Now for me, well I’m since I’m only half mermaid I’m in human form when I’m out of water, as I’ve said before, and I’m also half wizard. So I’m a very powerful person. I also have a bonus of having control over water, ice, air, the weather and I can talk to all animals. So yes, I tend to scare people. Now for my looks, well I have long layered bright violet hair, porcelain doll-like skin, full pink lips, long thick black eyelashes surrounding my eyes. My eyes are a really amazing colour and pattern, a star burst shaped stormy grey colour surrounds my pupil and then it turns straight into a violet colour that matches my hair. I’m not going to go into too much detail about my body. I think you can guess that I have long toned legs, a flat stomach, small waist, and hour glass figure. I am beautiful but much to a lot of peoples disappointment I prefer to wear dark colored 3 quarter army style pants, plain tank tops and combat boots. Ha, not what you thought a mermaid would wear is it. As a mermaid I look basically the same except that I have gills and a long stunning, stormy grey tail with swirls of violet and emerald green patterned on it. Now you’re probably thinking ‘wow the girls at school must hate her, and the boys must want her’ and you would epically wrong. I don’t go to school. I got kicked out of a few muggle before papa figured it would be easier just too home school me. I can do my own ‘normal’ work but he gives me private lessons on magic. I’m currently 15 and this, is my story.

Alright, so I just wanted to introduce Aqua in the first part and explain some stuff about her. Tell me what you think and if you want me to continue it would be choice! :D
